“I have been going to Jim Barnard Chevrolet for service on my vehicle for over 4 decades. The reason is because they are friendly, professional and, as a single woman with very little automotive knowledge, they have never made me feel like I’m being taken advantage of, just the opposite. They also do a full inspection twice a year when I get my oil changed and provide a handout of each area of the vehicle marking green, yellow, or red, indicating when a potential type of service may be needed in the future. Their prices may be somewhat higher than local service garages but I’ve never walked out of there dissatisfied with the service I receive. I recently had issues with my 2 front tires experiencing low psi, requiring me to stop at gas stations to fill the tires every couple of days in frigid temperatures. I thought I’d try going to Firestone, as it was just around the corner, whereas Barnard is 30 minutes, and assumed Firestone specialized in tires and issues with them. I went round and round with Firestone, having to take my car back 3 times, and ultimately ended up back at Barnard, where the problem was quickly resolved.
