I came here based on my girlfriends recommendation and she was not wrong. A week after getting completely ripped off by the dealership, I decided to take my Volkswagen to Village Auto in Harriman, after that visit these guys officially earned my trust. I spoke to Andre on the phone and right off the bat he was completely honest with me, he repaired my vehicle within a day and saved me a lot of money on the dealerships incorrect assessment on my vehicle. I wish I could give this place 10 stars because they deserve it!

I was on the shoulder on Rt 17 dealing with a flat tire, with my two young grandsons in the car. There was much traffic going by at high speeds and the kids were very scared. Before I could even complete the call with my insurance company for roadside service, Andre pulled up and fixed the tire! He was just doing a quick driving check with a car the station had fixed, saw us, and didn’t hesitate to offer us help! And then he refused payment — a true life saver! If their customer service for regular repairs is anything like that, I would bring my car there without fail. Thanks again, Andre!

I moved to Monroe almost 2 years ago and still trying to find the right mechanic for me so I decided to give this place a try. I arrived around 8:15 am. I met Andre at the front desk and he was very nice. I was hearing a grinding noise when I pressed to brake. Andre test drove quickly and said I needed new brake pads and he said my car would be ready the same day. Around 4:30 pm I hadn't heard anything so I decided to give them a call for an update. Andre said they were working on my car at that time and that I needed front and rear brake pads. No problem -- I asked how much that would be and he said $1,000. Which I thought was rather high so I asked him why it was so much. He said they would be changing the brake pads and roters. I asked if the roters were bad he said no that they just replace the roters everytime they replace the pads. I've never heard of that. I should have been told that was the policy before any work was done but I didn't. He said the back needed to be done but I could hold off on the front ones for now so I did. The cost was $476 (which is still high.) They also changed my license plate cover with one that promotes their business and threw my old ones away without ever asking me. Which I did not notice until the next day. I asked Andre about the cover and he stated they have a young apprentice that changes them without asking. I took my car to my pld mechanic in Queens, NY and they charged me $176 for the front brake pads. I will not be taking my car to this establishment again. My search for a local mechanic continues.

The service you request is the service you receive, no one trying to sell you something you don't need. They are super friendly, especially the dog Maui! The value is absolutely fair!
