We had the pleasure of working with Sarah May Floral Designs for our wedding at The Barn at Villa Venezia, and the floral arrangements were stunning. Sarah’s extensive experience with the venue reassured us that she knew exactly how to enhance the space beautifully.
Floral Design and Execution: Sarah’s design for our ceremony was breathtaking. We had a small bridal party with only two bouquets, and she wisely recommended allocating a significant portion of our budget toward the ceremony florals, which we could then repurpose behind the head table. This creative approach was fantastic and added a cohesive and elegant touch to both the ceremony and reception. The two free-standing pillars she created framed the ceremony space perfectly. Additionally, she delivered the bouquets to our hotel at 11 am on the day of the wedding and even provided extra flowers for the detail shots, which our photographer greatly appreciated.
Communication and Organization: While Sarah’s floral designs were exquisite, her communication and organization skills left a bit to be desired. Initially, I was a bit worried due to some inconsistent communication and organizational hiccups. However, I had heard from others, including The Barn staff, that she always pulls it together in the end. To ease my concerns, I highly recommend meeting with Sarah in person rather than relying solely on phone or email communications. Keeping copies of all correspondence and details proved helpful, as there were instances where she needed me to resend information that had been misplaced or forgotten.
Overall Experience: Despite the initial concerns, Sarah’s beautiful work and fair pricing made her a wonderful choice for our wedding florist. We even received a discount through a recommendation, which was a nice bonus. If her communication and organizational skills were a bit more polished, it would be a perfect experience. Nonetheless, the end result was absolutely gorgeous, and we are very pleased with how everything turned out.

Sarah is absolutely amazing. She went above and beyond any expectations I could have had for my wedding. She was super accommodating and easy to work with. I have now gone to her multiple times for special occasion bouquets and they are all gorgeous. She will be my forever florist.

AN INCREDIBLE FLORIST! If you are looking for a florist for any occasion, Sarah is your girl. Truly look no further because she is so talented. I cannot thank her enough for the amazing florals she put together for my wedding day. My bouquet was everything I could have ever wanted and more. I was obsessed with it!! Her attention to detail from the boutonnières to the flower arch was impeccable. She was so sweet and accommodating throughout the entire process, I would text her all the time and she would always answer. Thank you so much Sarah!! ??

I just got married a few weeks ago, and this has been one of the most frustrating and disappointing experiences for any bride. Days before my wedding it was super difficult to contact her and ask her to obtain her permission to work at the chosen location, I insisted with her several times until days later she responded to my request.On my wedding day, when I arrived at the place, I was surprised that the centerpieces did not even resemble the ones sent in the images that I took the time to send, in the same way the flowers that would decorate half of the arch of the gazebo I went up to talk to her and she said she would fix it (there were only 3 hours left for my ceremony) my husband contacted her and said "that was what was in our budget", totally false because when I hired her I sent her specifically what I wanted and I told her the budget to use, if she couldn't do it she should be more honest not to completely ruin the most important day of my life.Almost 2 weeks have passed and we have not received a single apology, she was canceled before the wedding but her work was terrible.
