ADT is the biggest scam of all time. I purchased a security system and plan 2 1/2 months ago. For two months I was unable to even make a user account. I call their customer service line more than 10 times and each time I waited four hours because they just kept reconnecting me to different representatives that couldn’t help me, and then at the very end they would just disconnect my call.After two months of back-and-forth and spending 40-50 hours on hold. I find out that the reason why I couldn’t make an account was because their Website was being updated.Not once did any of their customer service reps tell me that they were having website issues. when I called to return my system and plan, which I had never used because I couldn’t make an account due to their website issues, they wouldn’t allow me to return it and they hit me with hundreds of dollars worth of fees for leaving their service that I never even started.If you were thinking of getting a security system, I would recommend looking anywhere else. This company is a scam .

People need to please take a minute to read this review regarding ADT Security.I am a security system and camera installer I have more than 20 years of installation experience I worked for spectrum as a cable installer for 3 years and I love helping customers feel safe and secure in there homes. Today was the first time I was asked to do a self installation kit of a ADT system for a customer that was a customer of ADT for more then 4 years . All her equipment was outdated and she needed to upgrade her smart home hub , door sensors and cameras. All the new upgraded equipment was delivered by UPS from ADT and was equipped with all self installation information. So my 70 year old customer contacted ADT and asked how much would it cost for a installation and she was told by ADT that would be almost $1000 dollars to send out a technician to install their own equipment. (Please take a moment and read that again ) yes $1000 to install there own equipment. Not only is that cost over exaggerated but ADT send her their new upgraded equipment and they included 2 Google cameras. So ADT Security Company uses Google cameras that can be purchased from any online store and installed without any monthly service so ADT is charging a monthly service for an item that is not even made by their company. ADT Security needs to be ashamed of them selves.People please stay away from ADT security

Do your research before, we listened to the customer service rep and techJust to be screwed and stuck with a contract we do not want. 6 month money back is alie it 3 day, like that not even enough time to demetmine if u like the service. 3 day return mean it has to be done before that 3rd day not contacted by the 3rd day. They are amazing when it come to selling u the product and service but once u get it you will not get help when there a issue. A tech only comes out for the first installation then they expect you to do it over the phone with tech. When u contact them they keep sending u to different customservice reps. You will be put on hold for hour then hung up on. No one ever knows the answer to questions. When they mess us they do not make it right. Please save ur money and don't go through Adt. Are camera barely work or load and we have good wifi. Are camera we had for 200 worked better then adts so please save ur money. This is from a person who never leave review. Ive been trying to give them a chance after issue after issue but everything shows how they treat there customers.

A simple thing as adding a device on to my existing system has turned into the biggest nightmare of my life - 6 hours on the phone in the last 24 hours to get absolutely nowhere to the point where we decided to cancel the upgrade - trying to be forced into signing a new 3 year incorrectly written contract - 18 years being a customer and have never experienced such incompetent customer service.

Over the last 3 years, we have repeatedly called ADT for help, only to be ignored and dismissed. When and IF we received help, the servicemen had no idea why they were here, what they needed to fix, or how to fix it. Our alarms went off during store hours, in the middle of the night, and even the panic button stopped working, and they didn't even bother to send a new one when the service man came to check on the rest of the system. Again he had no idea what we needed or why he was there. They are not helpful, considerate, or professional. We are disgusted and appalled by the service we have received as a business working with ADT. We will NEVER use their services at any of our stores ever again!

I highly recommend ADT to anyone thinking about their services. It brings a peace of mind to your household and especially your children’s safety. I recently had ADT install their new system and had the greatest experience. Our technician, Sean, was the friendliest technician we could have asked for. I have a very curious one year old and he followed Sean almost everywhere. He was great with my son and even sang him the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse theme song. We hope to have him back if we ever decide to add or upgrade ADT features in the future. By the time Sean left, I felt like I could navigate the system confidently on not only the system itself but on my phone as well. He made sure I understood everything from what he installed, to my codes, to when I use certain codes and the best way to go about my safety features. I feel grateful to have had such a wonderful technician and will recommend ADT to anyone who I think could benefit from it!

ADT is the security specialist every one should go with. Thier technicians are polite ,clean,and respectful of your property. They can answer any of your questions or concerns, and make sure before they leave you, that you understand and can work the security system they installed for you.

I'm so disappointed and angry with ADT!!! I have been a customer for 20+ years. I have tried unsuccessfully a dozen times (or more!!) to have an issue rectified. Their customer service leaves much to be desired. Every single one of them said they fixed the issue to only find out it hasn't been! I am at my wits end with them!!!

Always a problem. Payment app never works and neither does pay by phone.They can't find my payment. I emailed a pic of my bank statement where they took the money out of my account. No one seems to know what to do. Now they have stopped responding to my emails. This is the worst of the worst!!!

Hands down the worst customer service I have ever experienced. If I could give zero stars I would but that’s not an option. Don’t waste your time with them! I had an alarm system with them, moved and transferred the system with me. I had been a customer for four years. Then Covid hit, and I lost my job as did several people unfortunately. I was forced to sell my home because I couldn’t afford it anymore. ADT now wants over $400 from me for terminating my “contract” early. I couldn’t transfer the system to my new apartment as the have a bulk agreement with another company and I couldn’t transfer the system to the person that bought my house because go figure they “had previous customer service issues with ADT and will never use them again!” Don’t even give me the generic response to contact you or that a manager would be happy to speak with me as that’s not true at all. I’ve called several times and have been passed off to several people but nobody wants to talk to me, it’s always someone else’s problem. Horrible Customer Service Stay Away!

The "upgrade" from the old Brinks equipment did not include all of the old items such as the fire alarms. This was not made clear to me until the tech arrived on site. As a result, I got upsold on both the installation (from "free" to not free) and on the monthly cost.Quite frankly, with home systems such as Alexa that can monitor alarm soundings and the proliferation of wireless cameras that interact with Alexa, I'm not sure ADT or other services like them are worth it anymore.I'm stuck now for 36 months. Maybe it's worth it if you're away from home often. I should have just said forget it. Oh well. Buyer Beware!I give it 3 stars because the system itself seems quite good. Getting to this point by being upsold removed one star and getting stuck for another 36 months of higher monthly fees deducts another star.P.S. The technician did a fine job. It was not his fault. It was my fault for letting the telemarketer bamboozle me in the first place.
