I went int there today 5/25/2024 my groceries rang up to $168 I came in the store with $180 in my pocket im packing groceries I stopped packing to give the lady $170 I continue packing. I look in my cart and said wait I wanna take some stuff out because I had to get medicine from the pharmacy and needed enough so I take 2 things out it now goes down to $152 she begins to tell me you only gave me $150 so I’m like no I did not I have you $170 and I watched you count it before I continued packing my groceries she hands me the money and it was $150 I look in my pocket I only had $10 which means I gave her $170 I come home tell my husband he’s like yeah you left with $170 that lady stole money from me and I will be filing a complaint I don’t care if it was a dollar you don’t do that to people.

I used to shop here every week but after this situation I never go back. While I was in line to pay I could hear how the cashier was making fun and making offensive comments about an elderly man (the man was still present hearing everything) just because he was confused with his receipt. The man thought he had been overcharged for an item. She had no compassion and made comments like “I hope when you get to that age you won't be like that” (while looking at the man.) When it was my turn to pay I told the cashier that I would bring formula for my daughter. While her partner brought me the formula, she answered me in a very despotic way, “but I'm not going to give you free water because you only have pure wic.” (My bill BEFORE adding the formulas was over $85) I was shocked for a second because I never asked for the water. But her comment bothered me a lot, to which I responded by saying that my purchase was not just wic, but she continued and kept repeating that to me, even she alone asked the manager, “Isn't it true that I can't give you the water because your purchase is only wic?” To which the manager told him to give me the water. She, angry about that, responded saying “well, if the manager authorizes it, then I can give you the water even if your purchase is only wic.” I responded again that my purchase was not just wic and she turned to look at the cashiers and asked again, “Isn't it true that we can't give away water with pure wic?” I felt very humiliated that she was in charge of lying to everyone saying that my entire purchase was paid for by WIC, when the only thing WIC covered for me was my baby's formula. On my way out, I ran into the man who was the victim of this cashier, who also looked very confused in the parking lot, still holding the receipt in his hand. When I asked the cashier why she was making so much trouble, she responded that she was just “doing her job.” I didn't know that cashiers are now paid to treat customers badly to give them a hard time and embarrass them. I hope one day this little girl doesn't need to use wic help to feed her baby. I hope that when you reach old age they don't make fun of you like you did with that poor man. I hope they can hire girls who are more educated and humble to deal with people.

Prices are more expensive for shelf products because of wic and snap. But the produce and meat are fair price with a good fresh assortment.
I come here only for meat and produce. For non refrigerated items I would go to target or a major food supermarket since prices are better.
But they do have select items like flan and hard cheeses.
As well as imported goods like Spanish sodas/drinks/ foods/snacks.
They do not have a deli for cured meats but they do seafood if you got early enough.

The truth is, I went shopping and the cashier disrespected me for talking to others. She didn't notice that another woman got my beans and on top of that, she responded, and they already do the same thing several times and the worst thing is in front of the Manayer and they don't tell them. Nothing, as I told him, I think more politely that Eya should be more on top or they will lose customers. It doesn't look as full as before for the same reason.
