I recently had the misfortune of visiting this Citibank branch, and I feel compelled to warn others to avoid this poor experience. This has, without a doubt, been the worst encounter I've ever had with a financial institution.My wait was longer than my interaction with the bank employee. I won't go too much into detail but the moment I entered the branch, it was clear that customer service was not a priority. No greeting, no "someone will be with you", no interest as to why I was there. It was astonishing to witness such blatant disregard for those who keep their business afloat. This is coming from someone who has multiple business accounts with Citibank. If it’s your first time there and you are ignored just know they are not playing favorites, everyone is treated poorly.The 1 star reviews are true. There are much better banks with better customer service near by. You shouldn’t have to feel as if they’re doing you a favor banking with them.

I had just previously joined Citibank and I found the people very considerate understanding and respectful and I'm looking forward to having a great relationship with them I just need to know if they're open tomorrow on veterans Day

I never had an issue with Citibank but decided to close my account and went to this branch to do so. My account was closed in two minutes, but it's the way that it was closed that bothered me. I was asked to put in my debit card into the chip reader and put in my pin. After that, the teller asked if I wanted cash or check, when I replied check she just gave it to me. The teller never confirmed my name, never asked to see ID, and never confiscated my debit card to be shredded. I was very put off with this, because what if I was a complete stranger who had stolen a debit card and just withdrew all the funds from one of their client's accounts? If I had said cash, would she have just given it to me without confirming my identity still? Even if she gave me the check in my name, she never confirmed that I was the owner of the account by verifying ID, I could've been a stranger just stealing the funds in the account and done whatever with it. I don't know if she was new or not, but clearly she was not taught well about procedures for closing accounts. Definitely be wary about these things when looking for who to bank with, because this branch definitely did not prove to be capable of handling funds.

I'm here waiting to make a wire transfer.. everybody is doing their own business talking to friends on the phone about non related things to the bank.. and we are here waiting for a 5 min. Transaction.. please don't come to this location

This location has the worst kept ATM's. I often never have time to go to the bank during the day so I come afterhours and I cycle between Farmingdale and Deer Park locations depending on where I am that night. It seems every week the ATM's either can't accept money, deposit money, or are just out of order. My most recent visit, the machine took my money and didnt credit my account. All customer service did was launch a 45 day investigation and provided me provisional credit that wouldn't appear on my account for 10 days. Three machines at this location plus a drive-through and they ALL have problems for what seems like years now.

The worst experience, opened up a new access account and went to the office to make a deposit personally with $180 and the teller runs it through the money counting machine and tells me i gave her $170 I then tell her "no i gave you $180" and she chuckles and shows me the bills i gave her 1-$100 bill 2-$20 bills 3-$10 bills and 2-$5 bills and i tell her see that's what i said $180 not $170 and she says "ok", and continues to go through a series of questions i had already answered online when i opened the account and gives me my receipt and as i am walking away i see the receipt says i made a deposit of $170 so i go back into the teller line and when i go back to her window she states there's nothing she can do until the end of the day when they count all the money and see if she is over or not because she ran my money through the machine twice and it gave her $170, i then received a call that their money was not over so i was not going to be getting my $10 that magically disappeared (wasn't counted by their machine). As I was setting this new bank account with my new car insurance policy to have the funds taken out now all of a sudden my account is closed because the representative I spoke to over the phone on another day closed the wrong account when i had also applied for basic checking account (2 days later) and my money is getting sent back to me of ($170) and tell me i can't reopen the account because it's closed already, this place is a complete joke when they have machines counting money for them when machines aren't always accurate and the teller being there to double check for mistakes it's like they don't know their math and just go by what their machine tells them. Call me old fashion but stay away from this place and save yourself the headache, never again!!!!

I visited this bank today. We wait 45 minutes to make a transfer. And they did not attend them. The girl in charge does not serve people because they are texting. And the worst of all is that nobody attended to them, we lost an hour. I will cancel my account at this bank. ????
