3131 Nesconset Hwy, Centereach“Cozy, quiet, clean with great free breakfast buffet. My only real complaint is there’s nothing interesting in the immediate vicinity. Which is obviously not the hotel’s fault but it makes it kind of boring at times.
Nearby activities: There’s a petrol station nearby!
Walkability: It’s easy to walk around the facility I think you’ll find the ground is quite suitable for stepping on.
Food and drinks: Excellent breakfast buffet, surprisingly robust selection in snack shop.”
“Everything was perfect from beginning to end. It was a surprise Birthday celebration for a very special friend. Brenda the event planner was great and very informative and she guided me through the planning so everything went smooth. Julie our Artist/instructor was so fun her music playlist was on point and she was very patient and always willing to help. She even played a Card Trivia game with the class which some of us won prizes. I would definitely recommend painting with a twist.”
“So grateful I discovered this place. I had my son's birthday party here last weekend and it was perfect! The kids had so much fun playing video games together, and the parents got to actually relax instead of chasing their kids around a big crazy arcade. More than one parent loved the place so much that they plan on going there with their own friends sometime for a night out! The owner and his dad are so nice and chill. Truly one of the least stressful events I've ever planned and everyone loved it. My son has already told me he wants to have his party there again next year!!”
“We had our 50th high school reunion here last Saturday. It was over-the-top fantastic!! Cristina and Andy were so easy to work with! Food was delicious and staff was fantastic! Highly recommend!”

122/128 Main St, Sayville“Amazing experience for my daughter. She has taken Miss Pam’s crafting club and art club classes. Her confidence in her artwork has grown tremendously, as a result of these classes. She’s made lovely keepsakes that she feels proud of. Can’t say enough good things about mini Monet, the classes, birthday parties, the open studio, crafting supplies and more that Pam offers. Great spot for kids and adults! Love it here”
“1000% recommend stonebridge. Our wedding day was flawless and we got to enjoy every bit of it. The staff was amazing. The vendors in the package were top notch. The food, to die for. Everyone was commenting on how great it was. The ambiance was exquisite. No stress for the bride and groom or anyone for that matter. It was absolutely phenomenal.”
“The Old Field Club was the most amazing venue! From the very beginning of our wedding journey we loved everything about the venue and what they had to offer. Carlos was great to work with and was very patient, upbeat, and detailed oriented the day of our wedding. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about the food and service! We couldn’t have asked for a better team of people. Thank you Old Field Club!”
“I had a wonderful experience with Monica and her staff! She made my daughter’s Sweet 16 an amazing event! The hall is beautiful and the service is impeccable! The food was amazing as well! I highly recommend this hall! You will not be disappointed!”
“We hired the New York Dart Zone's Mobile Unit to host a Party for our 9 year old son and 23 other boys. They were an absolute pleasure to work with from booking to executing. The mobile unit staff could not have been any nicer or more helpful. They ran a fantastic party. The boys had such a great time! Strongly recommend this crew.”
“Our 2yo was in heaven! We started at the toddler center which was cute and very toddler friendly. Then we explored the tall soft playground. It was a little hard for adults to navigate but he only needed one escorted round (and another friendly kid) and he was off climbing around and sliding down the slides. He even made it across the balance beam bridge which surprised me! Then he discovered the inflatable slide… I needed to climb up with him a couple of times until he figured out how to haul himself up by the middle straps and then he was up and down several happy and excited times lol. He was just ecstatic exploring and running around, trying new things.
He was so content and tired that he didn’t even fight when we got food at the food court. I think the kid at the fryer was a bit new bc our order was burnt lol. I saw another family’s order looking a bit crispy too. But it wasn’t very expensive so we didn’t mind very much and it was just a snack anyway.
All in all it was really fantastic for our kid. He’s absolutely exhausted and in bed early after a bath. What a great and affordable afternoon that was! Perfect for a rainy day.”
“I get it. You see the outside, and you think it is run down and not taken care of or even possibly closed. Well, it's open. The inside is very clean and maintained and safe for kids to go to. I went there today, and I was happy with my experience. The lanes are well maintained, and the staff there is very accommodating and helpful. It's also fairly cheap compared to other Bowling Alleys around the area. Recommend 100%”
“Absolutely amazing staff. "Beer garden" was fantastic! A bunch of outdoor games all well maintained and each fun in their own right. Mini golf course was interesting as well, more traditional then whimsical, but fun to play. Great day for families or friends”

“Played this track two days ago (08/01/2024) and I was pretty happy with a 13 over 85 score on this relatively benign and short (Par 72, 6,173 yards from the tips) Devereux Emmet track (he also designed Garden City CC, a NY top 10 among private tracks).
All-in-all, for $27 (3PM true twilight rate: $23 + $4 reservation fee), it was more than worth the 26 mile trip to play one of the oldest tracks on Long Island albeit the difficulty level was down a couple of notches and the course was a bit beat-up with more than several bare spots, dusty cart paths and poorly maintained bunkers c/o Mr. Fox.
On the positive side of things, the tee boxes were in good shape and the greens were significantly smaller but ran true so I think that I've fared pretty well with smallish greens based on my track record on similar tracks this year.
Based on my recent experience, I think Emmet's course still has the bones of a good track despite the obvious lack of maintenance, but I hope that the town invests more to keep it in better condition.
As a bonus, I was also able to pick up a couple of spectators of the 4-legged variety (see pic below) for a few holes.
I may even assign some blame on Mr. Fox here for costing me a stroke on hole # 12, where I had a downhill stance due to the burrow from his den that was situated in the greenside bunker.
Anyway, I'm pretty happy with my score, so it's still all good in Mr. Fox's neighborhood.
Going in, I expected to shoot a low score due to the relatively easy rating (69.3/124), but I still had to grind to eke out a decent score.
One other thing that I noticed is that the facility has two working shower stalls, but whoever thought it was a good idea to use it as a storage area must have a screw loose.
I think if the stalls were maintained properly, they'd be more useful for golfers who'd be traveling from far away to play this good track.
Side notes:
[1] No driving range
[2] Shower stalls inoperable
[3] Putting green available
[4] Do not feed the wild life except for Mr.
Fox's brother, who was limping from one
of its hind legs.
[5] Excellent walking course with no
barriers or ropes. Tee boxes were close
to previous holes.”

58 Greenwood Ave, East Islip“For some reason this post is coming over in my daughter's name. It is however, coming from the Mother of the Bride. Had my daughter's Bridal Shower Brunch here on 5/21/22. The hall was perfect for the event. Alex was amazing, and so was Max. Both of them were so accommodating and easy to deal with. When you're planning an event you're already under pressure wantingeverything to go just right. They made things easier, especially Alex on the day of. Both of them are rockstars! I would definitely recommend this hall .”
“Whether you get the dark or light lanes, Cameron the server is a delight- super sweet girl and when we checked in Joe helped us out when our lanes were malfunctioning. They made our night very fun! Definitely recommend this place!”
“Great affordable venue with up close personal feel, and the great outdoors. Well worth visiting, recommend to park by the exit for quick departure after a concert”
“Good solid place with nice service and pretty standard everything else. If you are a light sleeper you should bring earplugs. It can get a little noisy from other rooms and the highway that passes by.”

3485 Veterans Memorial Hwy, Ronkonkoma“Well run hotel with helpful and friendly staff. Especially those on the front desk in contrast to what other reviewers have said. For us visiting from the UK nothing has been too much trouble. Breakfast is convenient and great value. Only issue for us is the hotel allows pets so with the recycled air through the AC system even those in pet free rooms can be affected if they have allergies. Also hotel needs to sort out a deal with Disney as 11/50 TV channels are unavailable currently.
Rooms: Rooms are spacious and well equipped with comfortable beds if decor is a bit drab. Nice big screen TVs.”
“Stayed here for a wedding. Had an overall good experience and service was great. Akua made us feel welcome from the start with her friendly and wonderful personality. Room was nice and hot water was uninterrupted. After leaving, I realized I had left a dress in the room. Security, the front desk, and housekeeping all worked together to track down my dress and arrange to have it sent to me. They were all very pleasant through the process and wouldn’t you know it, Akua made the final touches to the process to ensure I’d get my package delivered. Thank you to Akua and all the wonderful staff at Jake’s 58!”
“Enjoyed bowling here with my 2 grandsons. Staff was friendly and patient. They responded quickly when there was an issue with the pins resetting. Food was good.”
