The service inside the building leaves alot to be desired. Not very helpful and not at all friendly.

Needed a passport for my daughter. Mary Ellen told me over the phone told me an expired passport is not a valid form of ID, even though the government website and hotline confirmed that it is. When I went in, we were taken care of by Jimmy, who was miserable to deal with. With I could give negative stars.

Today is Saturday January 27th.. it’s the second day this week that I did not get ANY mail! That’s not normal!.The magazine I’m supposed to get EVERY Friday did not come at all! Where is my mail?!

Worst post office on the planet! Worker at the front looks at me and says we can’t take that With an attitude. Apparently something was wrong with my label. I have a business and been sending packages for years. Then I say I’ll pay for a new label, he says it’s 12 dollars. Double the amount I paid. I say whatever I guess I’ll pay. He says oh you can’t , you have to take it home and take the label off! This is comical. I says thanks. So now the 2 packages he did take, will probably not get delivered. Believe these negative reviews that are here! Go to selden it’s a mile away. They are very helpful and nice.

I usually don’t have an issue with this post office and understand it is a busy season. I went in to send a package the cashier sent my package to the complete wrong address even though the address was written on the package. I needed this package delivered in a certain time frame. I had to pay to get the package intercepted once I realized it was going to the wrong address. My package was rerouted 5 times in a 3 week span. I finally got my package sent back to me and when I went to the post office all they said was I can only refund you for the initial service and sorry”. They use to have this super friendly and efficient black clerk I wish he would come back. The supervisor doesn’t seem to care about the customers/customer service.

For some reason any time I get a piece of mail or package that DOES NOT fit into the mailbox our mail carrier wont bring the mail to the house and leave it on the porch, he'll usually try to make them fit. What makes things worse is that the items almost always have "DO NOT BEND" in big bold letters written in more than one place on the package. No matter how many times I have called and spoken to supervisors assure me it wont happen again, it continues to happen which tells me that our mailman is either not being reported and/or he's not worried about any type of punishment so he simply doesn't care.

I have dealt with the same guy at the office twice now and both times he has given me issues. This man is very disrespectful, seems like he hates his job and clearly doesn’t want to be there. This time he refused my entry even though the world time clock was 5:28pm. Thought this was a government agency and the clocks should be using the world time clock not a clock that runs 5 minutes early. Very disappointed in this place.

Woman at Centereach post office was extremely helpful professional and friendly. I never write reviews but she deserves five stars.

This place is cheap and unhealpful. Other post offices will help you with packages. This place I had to spend money to use an inch of tape for a package. Go somewhere else.

Our mail was delivered to the wrong address three times this month. It was also not picked up one day in October. Too of the times there were checks what is happening.
