This thrift store looks different from the outside versus others I've been to. It almost looks like a lodge to me, and there's this really dated wagon sitting out front... I couldn't help but wonder if it was donated? Did they find it somewhere? Was it already here when they got the place? Hmm... Well, as I pondered this question I went on inside to look around. There's a lot of stuff, but also a lot of fluff. I can seriously never find anything good here when I drop by and this visit maintained the status quo. It's a shame because there are a lot of sections to look through and they were having a huge sale on multiple sticker colors. This of course is a personal taste issue, but it's a bit far off the beaten path from me so I can't justify coming out here unless I'm already in the area. I also don't like how much higher priced some items are here, like I get that they are "nicer" items but the whole point of thrifting is to buy secondhand items at a reduced price, catered to those making a lesser income. This place has lost sight of the concept with multiple premium tags spotted at $100+ pricing out some potential customers out the gate. The workers are great, always willing to help when asked and the sale days are pretty good here though. Overall an alright thrift store, I wouldn't recommend going out of your way for this one though. But if you're in the area, why not? I have also determined that the wagon must have been there already, cause like who would donate that? Andrew Jackson?

This place is the very same as vets of America I saw three of vets trucks parked in the back here I thought I was doing something for our veterans for free to help them I saw a few of my Jeans on the racks they are very unique clothing and size I will never participate in this place again by the way the one in Medford tried to screw me out of my Senior Discount saying I could only apply it to one item both places their prices are sky high you can find them cheaper at a regular store both places have the veterans trucks parked in the back to me this is fraud about how they represent themselves to the public STAY AWAY maybe lSavers is better yelp google should have a negative star button

While it has a lot of inventory and many different sections, the prices for a thrift store are astronomically high. I saw $15 shirts, skirts up to $25 and coats were basically the price of brand new ones. The store completely misses the point of thrifting you’re better off going across the road to the mall and buying something brand new at that point

They have a ton of nerve selling dvd and vhs movies for 4 dollars each plus tax. Every thrift store is 50 cents for vhs and 1 dollar for dvd I've never seen anything like it these people are charging retail prices on these dvd and vhs movies. I will go elsewhere but please people do not buy any vhs or dvd from this location. Price gouging.

Don't shop at this filthy, overpriced dump of a store. Was there over last weekend and as I was leaving I was cornered in the foyer by the overrated security holding her pen and her cohort. trying to "distract" me as I was surrounded. They ordered me to open my pocketbook like I had stolen something. The "ladies of Island Thrift" didn t even apologize to me when they saw I had nothing of theirs in my bag. They just walked away as I incredulously asked them if they were accusing me of stealing. Great job, ladies! I will never go there again to be embarassed by overpaid security stooges who think they're SCPD. Oh and you can shove your pen you know where.

Listen up, people - I always shop this store in Centereach for months. On Thursdays, they give seniors a 30% discount with photo ID. On 10/19, I purchased a few items for $26.03. I was called to a newly opened cashier, and I told the cashier that I would like the senior discount on my order. I showed him my license at that time. After finishing my order and paying with my credit card, the receipt did not reflect the 30% discount. The cashier claimed I never stated I wanted the discount. I said, "Then why did I have my license in my hand?" Had the manager called, and he wanted me to go buy another item. I said I had looked around the store, and there was nothing else I required. I stated to him, "Just give me credit on my card." He did just that, and I had looked online the next morning to see my purchase and the refund below pending. After the pending period expired, all that remained was the initial charge, and the refund was not there because the store denied payment.Very deceitful practice. The next day, I contacted my credit card company and explained the situation. I took a picture of the refund receipt and had a case opened against Island Thrift. Had the credit card disputes email address and sent them the refund receipt picture and explained what happened. The next day the refund amount was already posted to my account. This is the lowest of the low practices a store can do. If I could leave ZERO STARS I WOULD .

Bought a pair of Vans for $60. Turns out they were counterfeit. No returns.

Way overpriced, must change tags on the daily because you can never find items at 50% off! They are in no way helping the needy.

Not as much to pick from here, items were very used looking. Nothing in furniture either. But every now and then I find something I like, hope they bring in some better quality stuff

This is my favorite thrift store for nicknacks. I don't know if I'd recommend clothes shopping here because it does feel kind of expensive for a thrift store, but they have smaller furniture sometimes for pretty cheap (bedside table for $20, small desk for $40 that kind of thing) and again good decor depending on what you're into. I feel like someone can always find something if you're looking for something cool to come home with.

I shopped at island thrift for probably over 20 years, shopped there when it was the old location on middle country road when i was late teen early 20s. They had amazing prices and the 50% color tag days. Now everything is overpriced & i could buy new things cheaper.Price gouging on stuff they got for free.Shameful.
