I paid for a Medium Sedan 3 days in advance. They had at least 2 available, the associate gave me a Nissan Versa (compact car) and made comments about the great rate. Terrible service.

I will never rent from Hertz again!! I reserved a car one month in advance. When I went to pick up the car the older man said they have no cars to come back later and if they get a car back he would call . I never got a call back. Horrible experience!! Do not use them!!!

I rented a car online the night before I needed it and everything went smoothly. I've used this place twice and have had no issues. Will use again here if needed. Highly recommend.

I love renting from this location, it's convenient, they always have larger vehicles and they clean and wash them on site. The owner and manager are great to work with.

Reserved small SUV, waited about 40 minutes for car to be returned. At that time I was offered a larger SUV at the same price. Needed to add air to tire. Small office with limited stock of cars. It seems EVs are always available.

Worst experience I have had in almost 2 years renting cars in the US. Hertz should watch their name if they keep locations like this using their brand. I feel sorry for the employee that was there but the older man’s conduct was extremely rude and unprofessional. My reservation was made beforehand to attend to an important appointment, got there a little later than my pickup time, only to hear that they didn’t have any cars available and didn’t have any idea what time they would, saying they’d give me a call when it was ready and I could go back there. GO BACK? I just ubered there that’s the whole point of RENTING A CAR when you don’t have one. Two people got in returning their cars and they didn’t move a muscle to help me. You could see people getting in to get their cars then immediately getting out calling someone, looking pissed off. When I asked questions the younger employee would try and help me but the older one literally CLOSED THE DOOR not to listen to me.
Thankfully Enterprise nearby had cars available, people there were polite, courteous and made the whole process quick so that I could make it to my appointment although I was already late!

They are all very very very RUDE!
On the phone & in person.
I had a reservation for a jeep Cherokee. When I pulled up there was no trucks AND barely any vehiclesbon property or in parking lot. So in stead they lied about not accepting my debit card / business credit card. They even asked for my social security number. I've never experienced this type of service in all the years i have been renting cars...I am so upset because I'm supposed to go on vacation now my plans are delayed. In 95 degree weather with two baby's . DO NOT GO TO THIS HERTZ LOCATION IN CENTEREACH.

This is supposed to be a Hertz location. I called the day before to ask them if my rental car was ready. They said to come in the day of and hung up the phone. I showed up on time for my pickup and apparently the car wasnt delivered and it wasnt their problem. They said it was down the street and the car would be delivered. They made me wait 4 hours and guess what? there was no car because it was in another location and they couldnt reach the people with the car. Wouldn't do business with these guys or hertz. I wasnt the only one, there was 5 people that came in WITH reservations to hear that their car was not available. terrible.

While the gentleman at the front desk is fairly nice. I don’t recommend anyone that’s trying to rent for Uber rideshare to use this location. If you use a CC you will need $200 plus rental. If you use a debit card you will need $500 plus rental and may have to wait 24hrs to pick up a vehicle which is absolutely unacceptable! Uber said you shouldn’t be charged more than $200 for a deposit. I used Riverhead location and paid no security deposit. So each hertz makes their own rules. I’d rather use Turo or Enterprise at this point.

The worst smelling place of business and the rudest men I ever seen in my life . No respect for women at all. Very rude over the phone as well.Im definitely not going to forget the cars they are the worst too.Never again will I rent a vehicle from here.They need new cars an new attitudes plus a good clean up in the office.

They maxed out my credit card with continuously booking a car and then canceled it over and over …. So now I have no rental no more credit on my card and they basically told me I have to wait 7 to 10 DAYS !!!! To get it back … I leave for vacation tm now short 500 with no car and no credit car . STAY AWAY !!!!

Always a great experience renting here. They’re prompt and courteous. Especially compared to the fiasco that is the Smithtown Hertz office. I recommend renting from this location.
