We tried to give this hotel another shot. Previously we had a room where the gaps around the door were so large we could see out in to the hallway with the door locked and there were dogs barking early in the AM, and kids running down the hall screaming (in hearing shot of the front desk). This stay we were happy to see we were way down away from the dining area, etc where traffic would not be heavy, so we assumed. Their room doors really bang loud when they close. So there was no hope for a nap after driving. They kept banging, but it was daytime so knew I had no argument. The entrance from outside to enter the hotel near our room also had a door that banged. So from midnight til 2am as all of the late nighters came back it banged. Then people were going from room to room those hours every 2 min another door banged. Midbight to 2am was extremely loud. Finally fell asleep after 2am when things settled down but woke to the sound of kids running the halls and the family above use was allowing the kids to jump from the beds to the floor. And it sounded like a gym. For 3 hours loud banging from that. At 9am we finally gave up on trying to get any sleep. All of the stays here we have always gotten 4 hours of sleep or less. There is water damage on the doors and the carpet feels damp. The toilet paper roller is under the sink in a weird spot. And it doesn't roll once you put a new roll on it. It has to be half gone. We had to wash down the shower prior to use as there were hairs throughout. The extra pillow in the closet has stains on it, so we were glad we didn't really need their pillows as we brought our own. Breakfast is OK. Typical continental breakfast. They could use another toaster or two. The tables are very very wobbly. Hot coffee is easily spilled. Their sidewalk in the back is uneven, though it plays tricks on your eyes, and you will stub your toe or trip. When I explained concerns to front desk they stated that we had to call them every time and then they could do something. I explained they couldn't tell individuals to not enter the hotel and then their rooms. And packing up and changing rooms at midnight/2am is not fair to us.
I have never heard louder doors. This stay there were not dogs barking which was a plus. The hotel is easy to get to & from. I believe they want to do well but the design of the hotel is flawed. It was built without any sound proofing. I mentioned much of the same issues to the front desk 6 months ago.

Fix your damn wifi what are you doing with the money people paying you everyday to stay? Let everyone enjoy fast wifi. Your WiFi is L. I cant even watch single video. Try to use my laptop for business purpose but won’t help with the WiFi they got.
everything else is ok.

The hotel room was very clean. We stop here just for a night on a road trip. Loved that the hotel was dog friendly. The local gas station right next to the hotel was very convenient.

The front desk clerk, Frank, could use some customer service training. We approached him to check in as he’s clearing food from his mouth LOUDLY. He offered no information other than “tap your card and hit accept twice”. We had two rooms. As we are in the middle of the transaction, he proceeds to help the person behind us. The icing on the cake was his rudeness towards my 80 y/o Mom. Do better Comfort Inn!

This is one of the first hotels that said smoke-free, and it was. No hint of cigarette smells. Staff was professional and friendly. Room was clean and quiet. Breakfast was good and healthy. You have good choices.
Rooms: Spacious and clean and quiet.
Nearby activities: You have bowling and a fun park nearby. There are two balls within close proximity. You're next to a gas station and Dunkin Donuts. You also have supermarkets and a Dollar Tree nearby.

Horrible! Despite requests to fill empty hot breakfast trays, they remained empty. Coffee was undrinkable. NO maid service. Bed unmade, no clean towels. Arrived back at the hotel at 11:00 pm and had to wait substantially for clean towels for the next morning. Guests across the hall were having a loud party with their door half open at 2:00 am. Had to call the front desk twice to rectify. Not a good experience…at all!

Clean and very friendly staff. They are updating the pool and workout room. Nice to see a hotel putting money into the buildings. The rooms are clean with a microwave and fridge, tv, and hairdryer. Decent breakfast of the normal fare. Way better than trying to find a comparable place in Albany itself. The only thing missing was a dresser with drawers, but not a deal breaker as you have a closet with hangers. If we are back we will come here! Thanks for the great stay!
Noteworthy details: There is a DD on the property along with a gas station that has a mini store.
