The Butcher Place was a happy surprise during the worst of Covid when I was able to call to order meat, milk, bread and eggs and have my order delivered to their door or to my car at the curb. Their products are very fresh. I recently discovered the deli county in the rear of the shop and ordered one of their specialty heroes. It was delicious and enough for two meals for someone with a moderate appetite. This is a family operated business with pleasant, helpful staff.

Went there to get some steaks for a bbq. Bought 2 large steaks. A tomohawk and a large ribeye. I got them home and put them in the fridge. When I woke up, both of them smelled awful. Do NOT recommend going here.

Bought 2 large, fairly expensive steaks from here. Brought them home and put them in the refrigerator. I opened the package the next day at a barbecue. Both steaks smelled really bad. Will not shop here again.

I ordered a New Yorker Hero, advertised on their board for 10.99 on a hero as a special. The guy rings me up & says 13.84. I ask him how it's 13.84 & he tells me because it's on a hero. I point to his sign which said all prices are on heros. He then proceeds to tell me that prices have went up & there's nothing he can do.....so violating the law is OK, Nassau Dept of Consumer affairs notified!
