They never gave me credit for the grooming visit done days earlier. I spent over an hour in the store with a cashier that was overly helpful, but we had to deal with the IT/Customer Service department via the phone and she was only willing to give me a $10 credit. The grooming had cot me $90.

One star is generous. Stood for 10 minutes at grooming counter without even one person acknowledging me . Finally I asked someone for help and i was rudely told they were too busy to trim my dogs nails. I asked if they could possibly make an exception, i drove 30 minutes to get there, the worker rudely walked away saying no. Ill never come here again.

We brought our dog to get his nails done and had an appt already scheduled. He takes medication for his anxiety to help calm him down and they claimed they couldn't take him because he's on medication. We only give it to him to help them out so he's more relaxed and its easier to get the nails done. they completely discriminated against our dog. our dog has been there before and there hasn't been a problem. we will not be going back to petco again. they most definitely could've told us ahead of time or could have something about that for other people bringing their dog in.

The worst customer service experience I have ever had at the Canandaigua Petco. Had scheduled my dog for grooming weeks before. Came at the time with many confirmations from Petco. Came in, was not greeted for at least 10 - 15 minutes. Some guy finally shows up and gets on the phone. The apparent groomer was rude and surly and took another dog before me. Said she had tried to contact me all week. They have my email address. I received nothing. Now she was telling me they were closing in an hour and could not possibly groom my dog. We just moved here, had all the documentation about recent vaccinations, etc. Rudest, worst example of customer service I've ever seen in retail. I suggest you do not do business there or have your dog groomed. Then I went to PetSmart in Victor. Traumatized by this experience, wanted to get treats for my dog. Greeted by the manager warmly and I said my dog needed to be groomed but knew we needed an appointment. He said, well come with me to meet the team. They were so welcoming and lovely. I shared nothing about my horrible Canandaigua Petco experience and came out to meet my dog and were scheduling an appointment in a few weeks but they had a cancellation and the manager said she could groom him right them if we could give them recent health records. We had them as well as experience with PetSmart for years. She took him immediately - he really needed grooming and could not have been more accommodating and wonderful. Taylor at PetSmart. It was night and day. She gave my dog an A+ on behavior and said her feelings would be hurt if we took him anywhere else. Every single person we encountered at PetSmart was wonderful. An indication of the management, the hiring, the training and who they hire. Every one of them were charming and wonderful. A complete polar opposite to our experience at Petco in Canandaigua. Horrible customer service, attitudes, demeanor, etc... I will never shop there again. I will drive far out of my way to not deal with these people and this organization.

Angela did a fantastic job in grooming my dog Ian! The cut is perfect and so even. Sorry my dog isn't the easiest to groom. highly recommend Angela !

Love having this at Petco! I brought my dog Dolly last week for vaccines. The Vetco staff is very helpful and nice to work with on your pet's needs and your concerns. Dolly gives it 2 ? up!

Terrible experience with the grooming department at this location. Highly recommend you find a more competent location for your grooming needs. We brought our Bernese Mountain dog in for a scheduled on 12/1/21 for a bathing/brushing (long hair XL $56.00) & deshedding deluxe ($40.00). When they brought my dog out I noticed that the hair between her pads had not been trimmed and asked if they could do it. They agreed but stated that it is not standard with bathing/brushing and that I would have to request it online in the future. I stated that I would have but there was no selection for that on the website. They finished and brought my dog out. I asked if they were able to get 2 matts out from behind my dogs ears and the groomer stated yes. I paid the bill and tipped $20.00 and left. Once home my dog started immediately licking her paws. Upon review we noticed that she was bleeding from 2 locations on 2 different paw pads and had obviously been nicked when trimming the hair between her pads. We also discovered that the 2 matts behind her ears were still in place. I called at 5:00 pm and spoke with someone in customer service and explained the situation and they put me on the phone with the manager. I then explained the situation again with him, stated that my dogs pads had been nicked and he said "I just checked the floor around the checkout counter and there's no blood on the floor so it didn't happen here". He repeatedly interrupted me when I was attempting to explain what occurred and when I pointed out that he kept interrupting me and I asked him if it was my turn to speak he told me "Don't get smart with me. I'll put you on the restricted list and you won't be able to come in here again" I said that's probably best and ended the call. I am completely dumbfounded at the lack of basic customer service skills, empathy or understanding. Stay as far away as possible from the grooming department at this location.

I am more that appalled with this place right now. I made a grooming appt months ago for my dog. I've been making her grooming appts months in advanced for each quarter to keep up on the scheduling issues that have occurred through covid. I was supposed to bring her at 11:45 tomorrow morning and they just called me at 6pm to cancel due to "restrictions her groomer has". I'm sorry that she has restrictions but you mean to tell me these restrictions just occurred at 6pm tonight? No I call bs. I was nothing but rude to her on the phone and said how they require 24-48 hour notices from customers to cancel yet it's okay for them to give me less than 16 hour notice when they have to cancel on their end? That's bull s**** I will never go back here for any services on my pets nor will I ever go back to purchase anything from them! I've loved them and have done so much business with them but the lack of caring the associate had or sympathy for my matter is disturbing. I specifically made my work schedule to accommodate her appt that I made a month and a half ago and now I have to wait till the end of October to get her in somewhere else because they are all booked. I'm so glad my poor springer spaniel who already has long fur now has to wait another 3 weeks because this company could give two shits about my puppies needs! Don't recommend this after this experience.

A very good location and whenever I'm in a new city the first thing I'm looking for is the local Petco. I was happy to find that there is one just a few blocks from me. It is a big store with a lot of inventory and white selection. Service was very good but it took them a while to find that some time to help me. I understand Waiting few minutes but not 15. At the end I took what I thought I needed and left hoping that I will come here when they will be less busy although they weren't that busy when I came here. I would return to dispatch go I just gonna do it in the earlier time of the day.

Vetco was awesome! The provider and her staff were friendly, knowledgeable and also very patient w/ my grumpy cat lol. I will definitely be going back for my all my pet's vet services!

Brought my 8 lb schnoodle Bella in for grooming. She had fits but they were so patient with her. Took longer than normal cause she wAs so feisty but they did a great job..

Your cat grooming service has been replaced! We now support local business. You will find that blacklisting severely disabled clientele in snowy northern districts, for cancelling appointments due to harsh weather and falsely classifying no shows, will be disadvantageous to revenue. Lack of a call back for a makeup appointment was the last straw. Stop able-ist thinking and get w the program.
