“I was driving through Chesire, NY and needed to refuel. A Sunoco station popped up and I stopped in. Expecting a 7-11 type store with the gas station, I was more than pleasantly surprised. The Company Store is a 100-yr-old former schoolhouse. When you first enter the building, you are greeted by friendly employees, wonderful aromas and a beautiful coffee bar that is the woodwork of a local artisan. Pizza baked in the store from dough made from scratch, store baked cookies, homemade salads (macaroni, chicken, tuna, shrimp and pasta on this day) are available for purchase. All sandwich meats are sliced when you order so they are fresh. There’s a grab and go section with foods to heat and eat that have been made in the store. Shelves are stocked with the groceries people need on a run-in basis. Glass cases store a wide selection of beverages. I learned from the owners, there are classrooms upstairs, in a space called the Cheshire Union, that have been converted into artists’ studios, an art classroom, an area where artists can display and sell their art, and a room where locals can sell their goods on consignment. Going to the beach? Going on a picnic? Going boating or to CMAC? – this is a great place to get the food you need. The Company Store and Cheshire Union are well worth stopping along the way, especially if you’re hungry!”

“Always fill up here people there are nice and friendly always polite. Just to let people know I was manager of a gas station and here is some thing you should know. Never get gas while a fuel truck is dumping. They are stirring up the tanks and water and particles are mixing in the gas while they dump. Second suggestion is try to get fuel at the same place so if there's a problem you know where it came from and you benefit from it . If your getting good gas there you want to stay with it.”

“I was on a job that had me driving by this little place in the middle of nowhere. Decided to stop in for lunch since they have a back driveway you can park a truck in. I'm glad I stopped, my tuna sub was made to order and so yummy! The staff is friendly and the prices are less than I expected. This is a great little store with a little of everything and well worth stopping at. Next time I'm driving by I'll be sure to stop in!”

“Byrne Dairy in general is always a great place to stop for fuel, food, drinks or a bathroom, but this one is especially good. Always clean, well-stocked, good gas prices and friendly service. The location is very convenient if you're on this side of town!”
