Mark and his crew were punctual, professional and tidy. Showed up when they said they would, did what we agreed to, explained the process and answered all questions we had. We would definitely hire again and could not ask for more of a contractor. Definitely 5 stars.

What an amazing experience! It is very rare to find a business with a group of people who are as knowledgeable, personable, professional, and reliable as the family who owns The Climate Chief. I am one of those customers who really do their homework, from buying toasters to installing insulation and everything in between. I also ask a LOT of questions. (Not all vendors love that!) It took me a couple of weeks to find a company that could provide the exact solution I needed for my home. I use the word solution because they did not just say, **Here is the insulation we sell. This is the cost** They actually took the time to evaluate my entire attic and home to find the combination of things that made the most **big picture** sense. I have never received such a comprehensive written proposal from ANY other company in all the years I have lived Upstate. They also gave me a list of add-on options and explained the combinations. I could take all of them or none of them. At no time was there any **upsell** technique or the famous **let me call my manager** nonsense that you often get from service providers. They contacted me with a detailed email the night before the start date to let me know when they would be arriving, who would be on the team, exactly what they would be doing, and how long it would take. Wow. It was so refreshing to communicate with professionals who answered all of my questions and actually welcomed them before the project began and during the installation. I had a specialized attic project that required a lot of expertise. I felt very confident in their abilities for the entire length of the project and would highly recommend Mark {father, founder), Gary {initial consultation/evaluation, son), Bill (job foreman, another son), and the whole team at The Climate Chief. In addition, even though their proposal was much more comprehensive than any other, the quote was not only fair but extremely competitive. I feel so strongly about their work ethic that I authorized the company to give my contact info to potential customers. It is so nice to find a trustworthy local business that I can share with others in the community.

House was built in 1890, 2800 SF, 3 bed room 2 bath and heating and cooling it was a struggle. I had enough, enough of wasting my money on fuel(350 gallons + a month), pellets (2 pellet stoves), and trying to keep the thermostat set on 78-80 degrees in hopes it would be 64 degrees upstairs where my kids, and newborn sleep. I entered all my information into Home Advisor(Angi) and I found Mark Reed and his company on this website. I then read all the reviews this company had, then read the reviews on the other companies the website recommended. I found that Mark and his crew were best suited for the undertaking that was about to take place in my home. Mark and his son Gary met me at my house within a couple days and we spent 3 hours walking my home, studying the problems and climbing in the attic. I received a quote from Mark in person and I asked them to start as soon as possible. The crew was great, kept a clean work space and understanding about all my concerns of them working in the house at the same time my family and I were living there. The project took over 2 weeks to complete, and as the project was nearing the end I could feel the changes almost immediately. I could walk up the stairs and it was the same temp though out the house, even though it was 20 degrees outside. All my thermal barriers were met, and exceeded. Out with all the old insulation(and much more), and in with all new blown-in -R60! The crew exceeded my expectations, and Mark was there on and off checking in. While I was at work, I received pictures and updates throughout the day and the communication was nice. Even with the crews in my house working for the month of February I burned over 90 less gallons of fuel at month. That was with over a week and half of no insulation in the attic at all, holes in my walls, a hole in my gable end for access, crew guys in and out all day, and outside temperatures between 12*-31* degrees. I would contract with The Climate Chief again. I hope this helps the next person looking to save money long term, and I hope everyone has the same blessed experience that my family and I had as well.

The climate chief was very prompt to respond to our inquiry. Gary came out the next day, and took a look at our house and explained things throughly. We told him our budget, and that while we understood there were more areas for improvement than our budget allowed, he worked with us to assess and confirm what the most pressing issue was, the attic insulation. He also looked at other points in the house by my request in order to plan for potential future jobs. His crew came shortly after, and were very respectful to adhere to COVID protocols. Our upstairs is now much warmer! We are happy with the services rendered.

Spoke with owner about a project I was working on. He was more than helpful with a ton of great information. I've been in construction for more than 40 yrs, and to come across a professional of this magnitude doesn't happen to often. I think anyone who is thinking about hiring this company for any work they provide will be truly satisfied!

Do not choose this company. They do not get back to you, they waste valuable time. I called to get a quote for some windows they come out did some measurements and said they'd have a quote in 7-10 days in the beginning of April. I called 2 weeks later because I hadn't heard anything and the guy said he'd forgotten about me and lost the information. He says he'll come back out to do a safety inspection for some other work a week after that. Came did that and then said he'd get me more information and prices about that work too. Now I can't even get them to answer their phone or respond to voicemails the past 2 weeks. Horrible company. Do not go to them.

Mark, Billy and the entire staff are incredibly professional and friendly. More importantly, they are detailed oriented and very accommodating to our needs. Their work is outstanding and they came back to our house to make some repairs needed after installation of airkrete. We will have them back for any repairs needed in our home, they have vast experience and their attention to details is unmatchable. We highly recommend their services.
