I don't know what happened with the MMA tournament that caused all the negative reviews. I'm going to review the facilities in of itself. First of all, the golf course is beautiful and there are also volley ball courts on the grounds. Parking is plentiful no matter what time of day you go. When walking in you are actually greeted by the person at the counter. There is a smoothie bar and also refrigerators that are stocked with drinks ranging from sports hydration, to water, preworkout / energy drinks, and ready to drink protein shakes. You head downstairs and there's locker rooms, which are clean, as well as saunas. As you enter the gym area, there is a full court basketball court, a stretching area, a track, and a ninja fitness area (like the tv show). There's plenty of cardio equipment, from stair masters to ellipticals and everything in between. I actually love the layout of the gym and whoever selected the equipment knows a thing or two about what's good and actually worth purchasing. It's worth noting that there is a glute ham raise, a nautilus pull over, a land mine barbell, a bent over row machine and several squat racks and smith machines. They even have a metal step for doing standing calf raises (very nice). The majority of equipment is nautilus brand and are new(er) models (nice!). There are thick and thin grip dumbells all ranging up to 100lbs and some normal sized dumbells that range from 30-75lbs. I get how this can be a knock for some people who want to train heavier, but I think with everything else this gym has going for it it more than makes up for that. Every time I've gone to this gym, I've seen staff cleaning off equipment. Weights are always put back and everyone seems pretty friendly. There's people of all ages that go, with all different fitness goals, and levels of fitness, which could be an issue for some, but with the way this place is set up it works just fine. Overall, I think this is a real gem and is perfect for anyone of any fitness level looking to get in/stay in shape. By the way, I think there may also be a pool and other amenities. It's absolutely worth checking out and the price just cannot be beat. 10/10.

I've been a member for years now and I can't speak too highly of the training staff and the ownership of Pine Grove. Very customer centered and always improving the equipment and facilities.

The golf course has some of the rudest employees I’ve ever met. The bartender refused to take credit card because she doesn’t want to take the time to swipe it. Her words not mine. Also she called my friend poor because he was using a credit card. The old man called us a**holes because we came to play at 6pm after I called and he told me we can only play at 6pm after the leagues. I’ve been in a league for three years here and this year has been the last straw. Safe to say they’ve lost our business.

I unequivocally believe Pine Grove is the best gym in the town of Camillus, and highly recommend! Management was kind enough to offer me a 21-day trial, but to be honest, after one workout at Pine Grove you'll want to sign up for a long-term membership. The front desk staff are extremely friendly and you're always greeted with positive energy. The gym itself is a great combination of old school and new school, with plenty of state-of-the-art equipment. It's a great gym for all skills levels, from the novice learning the ropes to the professional bodybuilder! For those who like the social media clout, the lighting in Pine Grove is unrivaled. Your phone will be littered with fantastic gym pix, your dating profile will sure thank you. It's also great to have the option of a tasty protein shake post-workout or a cold one down at Bittermen's (also highly recommend).Simply put, Pine Grove is the complete package for all your fitness needs.Special thanks to Bri, Ally and Dawn who especially made my experience 10 out of 10, you guys are awesome!

I've been going here for 15 years. Good place. Well-staffed and run. A few cardio machines have been out of order for months, but thats somewhat typical. I'm an early bird, so it doesn't impact me.

I originally got a Pine Grove gym membership because i wanted to get more muscular and improve my confidence when it comes to talking to girls. I have now been a member here for over 10 years. While my muscles have grown exponentially since belonging to this gym i still don't talk to girls. However, many guys come up to me and ask me how much i can bench press and complement my physique. All in all Pine Grove is a welcoming environment with a copious amount of space and machines. I think Pine Grove is great gym for anyone that is just trying to not look like garbage while they're on their friends boat, to people that dabble in the sauce and are full blown body builders. I can not say enough good things about this gym and its staff. The members here are also supportive and uplifting. When i first got my membership i was a little intimidated. I had never lifted weights before and i felt out of place. I saw a very tan and muscular man walking towards a kid that had just sat down on the machine he was still using. I didn't know how this behemoth of a man would react to this. The man walked up to the kid and told him how well he was doing in the gym and told him all his hard work was paying off. He told the kid that with hard work he could do anything that he put his mind to. That kid grew up to be Barack Obama. From then on i knew there was no need to be nervous about going to the gym. Pine Grove also has many trainers and classes to help guide you in the right direction. I have been recently talking to this girl from Europe via email. She says that she is in love with me and wants to come to the United States. Once i send her $30,000 on PayPal so she can get a plane ticket and bring her belongings to the US we plan on getting married on Pine Grove's beautiful golf course. My friends keep telling me this is a scam but I know they just are jealous that I found the true love I've been seeking for so long. If it does turn out to be a scam i will drink my pain away at the bar attached to the gym. Pine Grove has it all!

Hands down best gym in Central New York, no comparison. The owner is generous and kind. I highly recommend Pine Grove.

Golf tournament for a fund raiser. For the Solvay Tigers. It was great. Had 21 teams. Golf course was in excellent condition. Food and service was outstanding. What a wonderful day. Thanks to Pine Grove and all the volunteers.

Review for Golf: PROS- course was empty on a 60 degree Saturday late morning (maybe a reason for this? CONS: course was disgusting. Literally garbage on multiple holes… not just an empty golf ball box but large piles of beer cans and trash - a member who is in a league said garbage was there since Thursday… several days. Also price is very high for the course shape ($36 for 18) carts were VERY old. My buddy’s went about 3 miles per hour and mine made a loud screeching sound. I can keep going on the cons. Choose somewhere else to spend your money…. Also greens and tee boxes are trash and don’t get me started on the fairways

The gym does not follow the New York State bill (#S1475A) put into effect February 2021 that states "require such businesses to provide certain contact information to be used as a cost-effective, timely, and easy-to-use mechanism for cancellation" They have informed us over the phone that we are not allowed to cancel our gym membership over the phone and would have to go in person to cancel. There was no other cost-effective option given thus going against the legislation. Terrible business that should be reported.

The whole interaction I had was entirely unprofessional. The owner was very immature and refused to treat me as an equal. The whole experience was terrible and I would be completely adverse to recommending it to any else. As much as he seems like a nice guy virtually, when you meet him in person he is awful to deal with and I would recommend that no one ever tries to peruse a membership here.

The repeating canned response from the owner is quite amusing regarding the grappling tournament. With his logic, you could have been running a meth lab out of the back sports complex and he would say that he no prior knowledge of it. To book an event of this size that was underway and then shut it down in the middle is reprehensible.I've read the other reviews, people did train months in advance for this tournament, drove hours to get there had hotel arrangements and were shut down and sent away. Myself and my son were two of our nine team members in attendance that had to leave due to the poor response from ownership.

Chose to host an event that they couldn’t accommodate and shut it down early instead of thinking more about how to handle the situation. The manger and owner are dense and wasted a lot of peoples time and money. The golf course is also lousy and I’ll be sure to never go the again for any event on or off the golf course.

Owner shut down Grappling Industries' event. Called cops and fire dept. Threatened to tow cars and eventually he shut the entire thing down. If occupancy in the building was an issue it should have been addressed well ahead of time. You have 700+ competitors, don't try to kick almost all of them out mid event because you cant coordinate ahead of time. Trained for 8 months and made a 2 hour drive for this event and didn't even get to compete.

Pine grove is the best gym in the area. This is a wonderful community and there’s every machine and class you could ask for. This place is the best!
