Nice, local produce. It seems like the selection is smaller than in previous years, but it's still nice to get freshly grown, local stuff.

We went there specifically for apple picking this past Saturday. I picked a full bag of apples. I tried to go for Macintosh, though nothing was labeled I could pretty much tell by the way they looked. I thought it would be nice if they could have labeled the rows of trees.
Since Saturday, every apple I have tasted has been terrible. No flavor. Terrible texture. Dry, no juiciness. My entire family says the same. Obviously, if it's a bad crop of apples this year due to weather or whatever else, there isn't much they can do. But my problem is more so the lack of signage, guidance, or helpers to maybe help people pick apples that would taste good.
Also, everyone working there were so cranky, acting as if they are working in a prison. Not one smile or hello or how are you. Really bleek stuff. If they are already sick of the people coming to pick apples this early, they better buckle in.
Going to head Upstate from now on for apples.

Best farm and farm stand I’ve been to. The pick your own options are incredible. Biggest and most diverse pumpkin patch I’ve ever seen. The corn maze was really well done and a cool experience. They also have their own beer and ice cream. Highly recommended.

Great farm stand with mums, fresh veggies, and cooked fair. I called early and was informed that Apple picking was available, when I arrived the trees were almost bare—there was a stench of fermented apples from all the rotting apples on the ground. I will go back but early in the fall for apple picking.

Been coming pumpkin picking here since I was a child and I have only the fondest memories! The patch was absolutely amazing this year! A wonderful variety of beautiful pumpkins in all shapes, sizes, and colors. Gerry is always so wonderful and $40 for all you can carry is amazing! Visiting Lewin Farms will always be a staple in my family’s festivities!

Very nice place. Really liked the selection of fresh vegetables and fruit. They also have fresh baked cakes and pies, milk, butter, cheese, alcohol, plants etc. people are friendly and helpful and there is plenty of parking.
They also have the pick your own sections down or up the road depending on how you look at it or come.
Pretty nice drive out here as well, definitely recommend this place if you're in the area, or if you just want to travel as we did to get fresh vegetables and fruit.

Title: A Fun-Filled Family Day at Lewin Farm in Calverton, NY!
We had an amazing family outing to Lewin Farm in Calverton, NY, located in beautiful Suffolk County. Our day was filled with excitement and delicious treats! We started by picking fresh apples and raspberries, and then indulged in locally grown corn on the cob with butter and tasty seasonings, baked potatoes, and mouthwatering peach ice cream made from locally grown peaches.
Before heading to the farm, we took a detour to explore the new community development in Yaphank. But as per our annual tradition, we ended up at Lewin Farm, and it was totally worth it! While the fresh farm produce can be a bit pricey, list of item shopping from Vegetables stand was Lewin Brand locally grown potatoes bags 8 lb , peach flavor ice cream, Apple cedar Donuts, seasoning jar & onion , cilantros,, but total paid was $47 and paid outside retail Food corn and back potatoes was separate $22 ,
the experience and quality make it well worth the cost. The farm is only open seasonally from August to November, so be sure to plan your visit accordingly.
The best part of our visit was spending quality time together as a family, surrounded by fresh vegetables and the beautiful farm scenery. The farm was bustling with visitors and shoppers, and many people were enjoying the recreational area behind the vegetable stands.
Before making the trip, be sure to check the hours of operation and what fruits are available for picking in season. If you're coming from Queens or Long Island, plan for around 4 hours of total travel and visit time. Trust us, it's absolutely worth it!

We went to visit Lewin Farms on our day trip to Calverton. We went during the beginning of July when it was blueberry, raspberry, and blackberry season. Do make sure to call the number provided to make sure the farms are open. An automated voice will play listing what crops you can pick and hours of operation.
There is no entrance fee for the picking farm, and you pay by weight at the end. The staff was very kind as well. At the picking area, there is a large water tank where you can wash your hands (do not use for washing your fruits!). Drinks and snacks are also for sale too. During our visit, the blackberries were not yet ripe, unfortunately, and some of the raspberries as well. That did not take away from our experience since many of the blueberries were ready to be picked towards the far end of the farm. I recommend picking towards the ends of the rows since that's where we found most of our big juicy blueberries.
At the main area Lewin Farms has a market where yoy can buy produce and other goods, but my friend and I just got some blueberry ice cream. To our delight it was light and airy, only issue I had was that it had a ton of blue food coloring that left our months like we ate a smurf lol.
I reccomend this place for the family, friends, or even just for yourself too for a nice day trip out East. You can enjoy a snack that you worked hard for!

we got big time SCAMMED here, which I unfortunately didn’t realize until after we’d left. at the farm store our bill came out to $185 (price breakdown below) and they didn’t give us a receipt. while we were checking out, I saw the lady pressing down on the scale for our produce, but I thought surely she wouldn’t do that until the price was entered. it expressed my suspicions to my mom in the car and she said, “you also saw that?” and I realized the machine didn’t beep with the price until after the cashier put her hand on the bag to press down the scale. I was giving her the benefit of doubt but deeply regret not speaking up sooner.
‼️just BEWARE when checking out, especially if you’re buying a lot and they can get away with this, and make sure to ask for an itemized receipt.
price breakdown (pantry items):
- 8 cans of beer was $36
- 1 bag of chips for $4
- 1 small jar of pickles (let’s say generously it cost $10 - i don’t remember the actual cost)
- the corn was $10/dozen so for 2.5 dozen we paid $25.
- 1 melon for $8.
that means we paid $102 for 2 bulbs of garlic, 2 lemons, 1 bunch of parsley, 1 bunch of basil, 2 dozen peaches, and 2 dozen plums.
I’ve shopped at expensive markets but that just makes NO sense.

Great variety of fresh produce, a lot of the Lewin Farms own. Very friendly personnel. Large clean space. I'm shopping there every week and highly recommend it to everyone.
