We went here for their peach ice cream & cake. It was a bit too sugary for my taste. The serving size was pretty large. They have a bench/table under the tree for you to enjoy the treat. There's also a small farm shop beside the ice cream stand. The service was also quick.

I have had corn from the fields of Pennsylvania and most of the farms on Long Island. I have grown my own corn. But Rottkamp's have the best corn I have ever had. It is always tender and sweet. Worth a trip just for the corn. They also have good, fresh vegetables.

On a walk from our house up the street we saw the sign advertising pick your own strawberries. The sign said $6 per quart but when we asked for a quart we were told it's was a 4 quart "minimum" to pick. (Way too many berries) so basically unless we were willing to pay $24 (+1 for the carton) ($25 total) or we couldn't pick the berries. Felt a little like a bait and switch since the sign said $6 but it was really $6x4=$25.

Wow this place is absolutely incredible! We love the playground here. Driving out east we passed this place and just had to turn around. The sweet owner let us use the playground for a while and see the horses too. We definitely will be back to pick up some items this spring and summer.

A local nursery was selling corn on the cob in bags of six. Wasn't expecting much because we have only had horrible and expensive corn this season on LI. As soon as we peeled the corn we got our hopes up high because this looked so much better - but we know that looks can be deceiving when it comes to corn. Fortunately, this turned out to be the best corn we have had all summer - probably best in a long time actually. We ran back to the nursery the next day and they only had a few left, but at least they told us where they got it from. Will definitely go right to the source next time we are out east. I am not sure the price of the original corn but it was likely reasonable compared to what we paid, but it was still worth it!
