A well oiled machine. Friendly and knowledgeable staff who are always willing to answer any questions or just carry your purchase out to your car. A tremendous variety of wines, spirits, mixers and more. If they don’t have what you’re looking for they will order it or point you in the direction of same or similar. You might even find something you like more at a better price like I did. If the team can’t answer your question-just ask Tom the amazing owner! Before reading this review, know that I’m a lvl 4 somm from court of master sommeliers and used to be a beverage director in NYC. In other words, I KNOW alcohol and I know how businesses can be run….
A redneck friend many years ago told me about this place, and said these guys seem to know booze like I know booze. Went to check it out, and ended up staying there for about an hour talking with their cashier. Next visit did the same, but with one of the owners.
Needless to say, I enjoy the store and its occupants. They know alcohol and they know how to run a business.
Best selection of wine and alcohol this side of the Hudson in Greene county.
Don’t expect a wide variety of Rhône’s or esoteric Austrians, but do expect a well curated, informative, and hand selected inventory that appeals to all types of customers.
It’s one of my favorite stores in the area, and not just because I like bourbons!

Spirits of Cairo is a shop you don't want to miss. You're sure to find exactly what you're looking for on the shelves, along with a host of other items you've never heard of and will want to try. The extensive selection of wines and spirits is matched only by the warmth and knowledge of Tom and his staff. Entering this shop is a delightful experience!

Spirit's of Cairo is by far the finest wine, alcohol and liquer establishment in Greene County and neighboring areas. The vast selection will have you wondering what to get....besides what you came in for. If looking for knowledge of an item . The staff is only to happy to assist. If they aren't certain they'll ask the owner Tom. Who has an extensive knowledge of his product. He not only attends local wine and liquor shows. He goes to out of state and country of origin. The SOC also holds tastings. To give a personal taste of new and current product. As well as what pairs best with which food(s). You'll not find a larger selection without going to a city location. Nor the knowledge of the product.From local producers,by state and multiple countries. I can say even if you go in and don't purchase anything....which I doubt. You'll be a little more knowledgeable on an item or 2. My only negative is they should be larger store wise. Which can be seen as a positive. Catering to so many personal choices and tastes. The SOC ,Tom and staff look forward to seeing you for the first time today or the first time ever. I give a solid 9.5/ 10 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐✨
