We had a gas insert installed with new tile replaced around the fireplace. The workmanship was top of the line. Our mantle was built by my dad and they took very good care in taking it down and putting it back up after the install. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Great local business

Our gas fireplace was installed beautifully with marble and a beautiful wood mantle in January 2023. It was used daily until the warmer weather arrived in May. The workmanship and care we received from the owner Dave and his staff was superb. Cant give a higher recommendation and could not love the fireplace more.

Be mindful when choosing this company. They are far from professional, courteous, and honest. I purchased a home this past year. I discovered a mild gas leak in the fireplace upon turning on the furnace. National Grid informed the flex pipe originally installed by Countryside Stove and Chimney at Burnt Hills, NY isn't the one that should have been used, this isn't up to code and questioned who may have inspected their work as it wouldn't have passed inspection. National grid explained as the house shifts, the flex pipe can break and/or potentially puncture the gas pipe. This shifting is evident as there are cracks in the heath. National Grid explained this needs to be removed and replaced with a hard pipe, sleeve or termination kit. After numerous calls, they claimed there would be no way in knowing that it was them who did the work and suggested we connect with the previous homeowner despite us telling them we have all paperwork demonstrating they did the work. Nevertheles, we managed to connect with the previous home owner who not only confirmed their work but also called them on our behalf. The owner of Countryside shows up stating they've never had an issue with their work, with them using the flex piping and adds there would be a charge (for a work they had done in the first place, done wrong, not meeting up to code). He claims not knowing which inspector they "may" have used back then (2007). Unbelievable! he's the owner, he should know these things yet we all know what's going on here. They ARE NOT a reliable trustworthy company.

Recently changed out our wood burning stove in our fireplace for a gas fireplace insert. Dave was great, knowledgeable in telling us what would work, and how they would be able to do the job. Instillation went just as he said. Extremely happy with service, quality, and workmanship. Highly recommend them.

I had service done on my gas fireplace. I explained on the phone that the pilot was lit for a few days but the stove wouldn't lite. When he came he said just the opposite, charged me for a full service when all he did was light the pilot. Called a few weeks later to explain the issue again and he told me he did what could. Not the first issue with this store. Will never go back to them again.

Absolutely one of the most honest business we have ever dealt with. The owner went to my sons house today and he advised my son of some pre-existing issues that his house may not be a good candidate for a wood insert. It is refreshing to deal with someone who cares about something other than making a s sale. You have earned my respect!!

Woke up several mornings to a cool house...stove wasn’t coming on. Called, and service man came in less than an hour! Listened as I told him the problem, and how the stove would start if I jarred it. He said it probably was a loose connection in the wire between the remote control box and the gas valve. Went out to his truck, made up a new wire, installed it. Stove now works. I’m impressed...very fast service by knowledgeable people.

We bought a stove there in 2015. They later helped me with a warranty issue and a few cleanings. They are always very helpful. Dropped our remote and it broke. He walked me through steps checking it over the phone. Fixed a setting that had been switched. Great customer service. Love our fireplace!

I had a recent wood stove chimney sweep / cleaning done by Countryside Stove & Chimney. It was my best / most thorough procedure ever. Kudos to Ray, he was polite, knowledgeable and efficient. His reverse cover process kept all the soot in the stove and he used all the tools in his case to clean the blowers. Ten years ago Countryside installed an Avalon Rainier wood stove inside my zero clearance fireplace. It's one of our best home improvements. They recently installed a new stainless steel chimney cap. Countryside rocks.

I anxiously waited for school to resume take the drive to Countryside. I walked in and found the store very dark, not many fireplaces were on to view, but I overlooked that as the clerk was busy with another customer. She never acknowledged my presence, not a friendly hello, nothing! I took my time looking around waiting for the clerk to finish up with the other customer. Finally after 30 minutes they finished and walked out of the store. I then proceeded to the counter, and then another couple walked in as I approached the counter and the clerk asked the couple if she could help them, completely ignoring me AGAIN!! At that point I walked out! I might add I am replacing a complete fireplace and stove! Two stars given because I saw what I liked and will buy the products elsewhere. Your loss!

It was a really nice showroom. There was only one salesperson though and she was in deep with a pair of people, however she never even said hello to us so we left.
