If you love yoghurts and ice creams like me, then it’s the best place to buy. Quality is top notch

Purchase ground beef yesterday buy one get one free, open the meat. It was fresh meat all on the outside and old meat in the inside. I reported to the health department with the receipt buyers beware they’re hiding the old meat with the fresh meat

This store is so filthy and the produce section has nothing but old and moldy items. The store associates also have horrible attitudes, one was upset for having to slice lunch meat, another upset because I asked for a bag. The workers seem more interested in socializing with each other rather than helping customers and doing exactly what their job description states they should do... never visiting this location again. I will go out of my way if it means better products and better customer service.

1. Tops, not friendly at all. Cashiers are usually on their phones, they dont care about customer service in this place.2. The lady cashier with the blue face-shield, she's judgy, racist and ignorant. I wish the best for that poor sad old woman.

This location is consistently out of toilet paper. I went to ask for more. I had never experienced what happened next.I went up to the guy in charge self check out. When I said excuse me and told him the issue, he kept his back to me and completely ignored me. A woman, who I thought was a customer, answered my request while he continued to talk to his friend. I was on the fence about coming to Tops in the first place and this experience confirmed my doubt. Unfortunately, it didn't end there.I was across the street from Tops,on Elmwood, heading downtown, waiting for the 6:42 pm #20 bus on President's Day. I see out the corner of my eye this guy crossing the street drinking a Big Gulp sized Pepsi walking right towards me. I don't move. I watched him walk toward the bus shelter and look at all the ladies standing there. He went behind the shelter and started walking towards me. He walked back and forth next to me getting closer and closer. It felt creepy to me, so I moved. When I was far enough away, I looked him in his face. I looked like the same guy from earlier at self checkout. When the bus came, I got on the bus and looked at him in the light: light skinned Black, possibly mixed race, light eyes, approximately 5ft 7in. It could have be someone else, until he said, "excuse me" to a man. It was the same voice. The same voice of the guy who kept talking to his friend and ignored my request for toilet paper.Tops use to be very selective of who they employed. I guess things change.

I've shopped here in a pinch when items at other stores were out of stock.I gave it 3 stars mainly because that are somehow nice enough to have a bathroom that services their next door neighbors. Namely, PetSmart - although I don't really know if it's an official agreement - that's where PetSmart sends it's customers. My daughter says it's because people earning minimum wage don't want to clean bathrooms.I guess Tops employees are either getting paid more than minimum wage; don't know their resources are being used for other plaza businesses; or this isn't true what my daughter said.

They have a lot of grocery items on the shelves that are different from other stores. That's one plus. And I like their Italian sausage and bulk sausage rolls, reminds me of childhood. Otherwise, avoid. People complain about their more upscale competitors being expensive - but Tops is no different. Plus their fresh meat and fish is legitimately the worst of all grocers in the area. Had a few experiences that stick out. 1. Went to refill my propane. The cashier said someone will be right out. So I went out to my car and brought the empty tank to the tank depot. No one came out. Went back in the store and the cashier said she forgot and that I should chill out. She wasn't nice about it. Total waste of time. 2. Brought back a bag of rotten avocados with receipt, didn't have same item to exchange in stock, so I didn't get refund because it "looked like I damaged them". The customer service person seemed happy to deny me. I am pretty sure they pay non-livable wages and the people that work there just aren't nice or helpful. I also feel like you're more likely to get COVID there. A lot of sick people who don't wear masks shop there. It is what it is. On the whole, don't go to Tops unless you have to. Pretty much every grocer, butcher or market in the area is better.
