10/10 experience for anyone looking to propose! I visited Scherer's a few times earlier this year to design an engagement ring, and it was a very smooth process. I worked directly with Chris Scherer to customize a ring, and he was patient in educating me on the different diamond cuts and band options available, and he even provided visual examples. The ring itself turned out better than I could've imagined, and my now-fiance LOVES her engagement ring. I would recommend anyone looking for an engagement ring or a special piece of custom jewelry to work with this locally-owned business! We are now looking forward to visiting Scherer's to design our wedding bands in the next few months.

Very nice well stocked store. Friendly knowledgeable staff. I was shopping for a birthday present for my wife. I had no idea what to get her. The staff spent whatever time necessary to help me pick out what turned out to be a perfect gift. I highly recommend this fine jewelry store.

I worked with Rich to fully customize an engagement ring and wedding band from scratch. He was extremely professional, helpful, efficient, and fair throughout the entire process. My mother and grandmother raved about their experience at Scherer's Jewelers all my life.I needed custom wedding rings made in 45 days. I did not expect anyone to be able to help with this but Chris Scherer made it happen - effortlessly, affordable and with beautiful results. I couldn't be happier with all aspects of the process. I am throughly disatisfied with Scherer's. My first experience here was a Tudor watch I purchased about 30 some years ago from old man Jerome Scherer who though knowledgable was rather uninterested and unenthusastic about his work. Since that time, I have had some service work performed on it, as well as purchased a couple of gifts. The business has continued as well as the attitude of indifference. I'd really like to support small local businesses, but if the small local business is too big for his boots, well, forget it as there are plenty of other competitors in the jewelry trade here and elsewhere.

A longed for mother’s ring, designed under the guidance of Scherer’s from January to March 2023, produced a stunning ring. Prior to production, I questioned the setting’s ability to protect the stones. This concern was dismissed. However, 4 days after I picked up the $7400 ring, one of the stones chipped. Their solution was to purchase another stone. I relied on their expertise to provide a ring to wear without worry. Purchasing another stone after 4 days of ordinary wear is not an acceptable solution. Their attorney has taken over the matter. This is not what one should expect from a reputable jeweler and is what area jewelers have expressed as well.

Had to get a ring removed because it was stuck on my finger. They were do helpful and sized my finger so they could fix the ring as well. They did an amazing job with the repair.

While I expressed concern regarding the security of stones in a custom setting, 3 days after picking up the $7400+ ring, a stone chipped. I was told I could purchase a replacement stone. Wore the ring to work as a high school teacher for those 3 days. Another jeweler mirrored my very setting concern.

I had a vision of repurposing my mom's old wedding band and they were able to make this vision a reality! They were able to take the round stones from the old band and pair them with baguette diamonds to make a new design for my wedding band. They were so helpful along the way, making it a very easy process. The end result surpassed all expectations. I love it!
