I only ran in here for a second to do an online pickup for cold medicine for my Kitty. Price was good & service was fast. That's all I can say.

My dog is nervous about the vet and groomers so I am very picky about where I want to take him. Well after today I definitely found my forever place. I cannot say enough good things about the Niagara Falls staff. Everyone is so kind and welcoming and make myself and my pup feel very comfortable and that's he's in the best hands. Thank you Taylor for making our experience so great! I highly recommend them for grooming!

very helpful management and staff I went in there looking for a leopard gecko prior to my research and the man who is in charge of all the animal management got me exactly what I wanted and recommended the right supplies this is the only chain pet store I will go to the people working here know their stuff and keep the animals healthy and clean there was nothing wrong with the pet I purchase hence I knew what I was doing with the proper care and I had gotten a care sheet people just need to do their research before going in there stop blaming pet stores for all your mistakes

For all those furbaby parents out there, I can empathize when it is difficult to find someone to trust with your furbaby especially with all the horror stories out there. My attempts to groom her myself have been proven futile. A rather tramatic experience for us both...A little about my furbaby. She's an 11 year old terrier mix. When her hair is long, she looks like a brussel griffon or cairn terrier. More and more fine white hairs appear each year. These fine whites shed everywhere in the summer, and so much easier to manage when she's trimmed short. Additionally, the hairs around her face is best kept tidy for hygiene. Yes... she's is a spoiled princess. That being said, I enjoy taking her to Petco groomers at NFB. They spend the time to talk with me about what to expect with her grooming experience. And we catch up on dog stories. They are very friendly and accommodating when reasonably possible. Once you determine what works best for your service, they are good at remembering your "usual." When she's all done (about 1.5-2 hours for bath, cut, nails, teeth, and glands), she smells of wonderful oatmeal blueberry and pure excitement to be all done. Why only 4 stars? Booking appointment... So yea, COVID definitely puts a damper on things. Couldn't find an open spot in the online booking. Tried calling and left a message, but didn't receive a call back. Went to the store after work one day, but they had already closed for the day. I finally downloaded the app and found an appointment 1.5 months out. Other than that everything else went smoothly.

I can safely say I will never be going to another petco ever again. I was just grabbing fruit flies before work and happened to peek into the reptile cages. There was a baby Chinese water dragon slumped into the substrate with the perimeter of his mouth raw and eaten away (I'm guessing by the crickets that were almost the size of this lizard's head). I asked the guy on the counter to check on him, saying I would purchase him if he was still alive. The employee told me my total, and then told me to insert my card. I asked again about the Chinese water dragon and the employee said "oh you meant right now?!". I confirmed this and restated that I was interested in buying/adopting if the poor thing was still alive. I tried to make small talk with the guy about the holiday season and he began to go on about how there's only two of them there and they don't have time for this and etc. he pulled the lizard out, and I thought I saw it react to being touched. I told the guy that it moved and he quickly covered it completely with his hand, and said "no, no he's definitely gone". He walked to the back room and then when he came back out he walked right past us and helped a few more people before we finally got to finish our original purchase of fruit flies.

I have nothing but great experiences with this Petco store, Amherst 1803. We have taken our dog Max for training with their awesome trainer, Chris and always take him to get groomed at this store. We took our Max in for a grooming appointment on 11/9/2019 and Victoria that has been giving him his grooming did such a fantastic job as always! Not only did she take great care of him, she played and loved him, took a picture that she sent us, gave us a report card and sent him home with a bag of treats! I couldn't believe how she went above and beyond for our Max. She is excellent at her job and has a heart of gold! The whole staff and their Manager, Ken are wonderful! Always friendly and helpful! Thank you all for taking great care of our Max and we will only go to your store for all of Max's needs!

Stopped in to grab some dog food a few weeks back with a friend. I was not shopping for the food she was but the service we received was amazing. They did not have the food we were looking for but the associate who was on the floor was able to help us pick a better food than what we were using and was extremely knowledgeable about all the products they had. The cashier as well was awesome with us when we were looking at the treats they had for dogs letting us know prices and package sizes. If you have a pet stop in here they are nice and know what they are doing.

I love this Petco! When you walk in, the cashier greets you, while walking around, another worker will ask if you need any assistance, and they are all very knowledgeable about their products and have answered any question I've had regarding types of dog food and what is best. They also have a really great bulk treat section of homemade dog treats and they are $5.99/lb which is such a great deal! My Chiweenie loves the dog friendly vanilla chocolate cream sandwiches. They also have some super cute dog clothes if you are one of those people like me- ha, when they are on clearance I can't help it, Bambi loves her clothes and they help keep her warm in the winter months. Thanks for all your knowledge PetCo employees!

This place is NASTY. We went to get Purina One dog food and the small bag had live maggots stuck on the back of the bag. My boyfriend checked the bigger bags which had more maggots on them. I was so grossed out, I dropped the bag, and went to find someone. It was some kind of Vet event and nobody wearing a petco nametag helped me - they said they weren't workers even though they had nametags - clearly working there. There was only one cashier who also did not do anything to alleviate the disgusting situation. None of the workers acted like it was a priority to take care of this maggot situation so I walked out to go to PetSmart. Don't bring your business here! GROSS!! Careless!

First visit today for the grooming of my cairn terrier. Sara was very attentive to my concerns ( nervous dog, bad knees) and discussed what she would be doing. My dog was ready in a couple of hours. She looked wonderful. Very reasonable price too!
