We have been going to this vet for over 9 years. They were extremely compassionate when my cat became ill and helped us make her comfortable during her last days. Although they may be pricier than other vets, they are well worth the cost. Dr. Wishko personally calls with blood work test results and talks through next steps and options and is happy to answer any questions. Their online portal is helpful for scheduling and the front desk staff are great. As my dog gets older, I’m glad we are at this vet to help keep her healthy and live longer.

My cat was licking off all of his fur. My previous vet told me it was my fault- we don’t play enough, not enough structure, not enough enrichment. The good people at Northtown got my kitty on an anti anxiety medication and he finally has hair! not only that, he is so much more confident, comfortable, and sassy. I am so grateful to Dr. Wishko and every single vet tech and front office staff that has helped me and my critters. They even did some research about hedgehog diet for me when I needed it. Gail is especially wonderful. The front office staff answering phones are always nothing but helpful when I have random questions to ask them about my pets. I get a call back usually within the day. If they are unable to get you in, they always have soooo many recommendations for great clinics for your needs- when my gecko had to have an emergency surgery, they couldn’t accommodate but gave me the numbers of upwards of 15 places, no joke. and the one i landed on was just as wonderful as northtown. this place rocks- I have been to several vets in the area and this is by far my favorite. I have moved further away and will still be taking my critters here. THANK YOU!!

This is hands down the best Animal Hospital. The staff are very caring and knowledgeable. I would never take my pet anywhere else. The front desk (especially Gail) are very kind and helpful.

This office is amazing! I love that it's an all female staff. That makes my rescue so much more comfortable when we visit. The staff is friendly, prompt and very professional. Their pricing for services is very reasonable. I appreciate the follow up phone calls when warranted.

We are extremely comfortable with care of our Portuguese Water Dog at Northtown. We've seen both Docs and grateful for their diagnostic skills. Staff very good with our nervous dog.

I have been taking my many cats there for years. I love them and have had nothing but good results. I have to say that the people that complain saying they are money hungry probably never thought of saying "no, thank you" or "is there anything else we can try" The Dr.'s always offer the best first but are willing to try other options if you ask. I recommend them to everyone I know.

Ive called several other vet offices today and they were all able to give me a rough estimate for a neuter...this office doesn't do that.

We have been taking our Great Danes here for 5 years. The doctor is great, the admin (Gail) not so much. We had a family emergency and couldn't get our dog to a well visit. 2 months later our dog passed away. We have a new puppy and wanted to go back to this vet. Gail said we had to pay $70 first for the canceled visit. When I said we had an emergency, my husband had even emailed them AND that dog had passed...she said we either pay it, or we can't bring out dog there. I said we'd find another vet, and she said OK and hung up. GREAT service. I'll be finding another office that cares. Gail was awful.

Don't go here. The receptionist (Gail) is not only the decisionmaker about whether or not your pet gets seen (same day sick appointments aren't for everyone, just the people she likes) and she is also the person who prepares your bill - so watch out for unexpected charges because those are her favorite! Oh that same day sick appointment she was nice enough to give your pet? There's an extra fee for those that you won't know about until after the visit is over. Do you have a sick pet and already had an appointment to see the vet that day? No problem! They will STILL charge you for an EMERGENCY APPOINTMENT even though you already had one. Anything to bring those dollars in!! Oh you want a follow-up visit for that appointment you had last week? Too bad! Gail says go to the emergency clinic and drop $1,000. RIDICULOUS! When I complain, the vets say NOTHING and just let her run the shop. My vet bills were OVER $15,000 this year! Unsustainable!! Even the expensive vets are cheaper than this place.

I removed my past (5-star) review for one reason: the receptionist. Not the dark-haired pretty one (she is very nice) but the blond 'I am better than everyone even though I just answer phones' one. The one who is snarky, talks down to people and changes your appointment without telling you. More than once, she's said: 'Okay, you're down for a tech appointment at 9:15am on Wednesday the 12th' and then you show up on that day & time and she makes the nice dark-haired one awkwardly tell you: 'Oh, we had you down for 3:15pm on Monday the 10th and you no called/how showed,' when you and your partner would have never scheduled an appointment on that day or time. Idk what it is with this hospital and blond 'holier than thou even though I stink at my job' receptionists, because the old/prior receptionist was this way too. If it weren't for the receptionist, I'd rate this hospital 10 stars. They have a really clean hospital, nice business hours, a great location, knowledgeable Vet Techs, and speedy diagnostic services. But that receptionist is just awful.
