We are acquainted with the Junior League of Buffalo because of the Decorator's Show House. Today, we attended a sneak peek at the Grace Millard Knox mansion on Delaware Avenue's Millionaire Row. The house is incredible and still has several original architectural features from when Mrs. Knox lived there. The mansion was designed by Charles Pierrepont H. Gilbert ( the famous architect who built several NYC 5th Avenue mansions), so it's absolutely luxurious: an eye-popping spiral staircase in the foyer, huge crystal chandeliers, a ballroom, and marble bathtubs. The Junior League volunteers were friendly and helpful and lawyer Ross Cellino, whose firm recently purchased the mansion, was on hand to greet visitors at the entrance. Can't wait until August to visit again and see how the designers work their magic!
