What a great experience! Custom wedding bands within a week! The owner, Jim, was happy to teach us about the process of making the bands and kept us in the loop of the timeline. I know where I’ll be going for more jewelry:)

I first met Jim, the owner of Hertel Jewelers years back, when he opened his store in Buffalo. Jim has always been kind, fair, and polite. Out of all the other Jewelers I've dealt with in the past I always end up going back to Jim because he is the most honest, upfront man I've ever known. I guarantee if you walk into his store you will be met with a big smile and given Jim's full attention to whatever needs or questions you have. I got my wedding ring at Hertel Jewelers about 5 years ago and needed it re-sized recently, it was done in less than an hour and came out great! Highly recommend H.J. if you need any adjustments or need a new piece of jewelry. The customer service is top notch! Thanks again!

My (now wife) found an engagement ring she loved on a foreign website, but there was no way I was comfortable making such an important purchase in that manner. I took the photo to a few local jewelers and they were gonna send out the image to other people who would put it in a computer and so on. I walked into Hertel Jewelers, Jim and I spoke and he explained how he would make it in house by hand. I thought that buying a hand made ring that I knew was locally made was awesome so we moved forward. Long story short, my wife and I both couldn’t be happier. Jim was polite, down to earth and great to work with! Jim has this ring process being made on his Facebook page in a series of photos. (it has the pink stone) As ‘the guy’ buying the ring it was cool to see it go thru various stages till it was perfect, not just picking it out of a case. All around thumbs up!!

I needed some very old rings resized and repaired and was calling around to places nearby. I don’t know why they weren’t my go to (mostly because it’s basically at the end of my street), but I ended up at Hertel Jewelers. Their signage doesn’t accurately reflect everything they do there. Jim did amazing repair work and restored elements of my ring (add back in worn off milgrain) that other shops said they couldn’t. He had them done by the next day and was super reasonably priced. Seriously, highly recommended.

I took in a small piece of inexpensive, but sentimental jewelry in and was delighted to find James giving it his 5 star treatment even though it may have originally sold for $5. James did some great work in putting the piece back together again, and had it looking better than Humpty Dumpty after he threw in a cleaning with no charge. If you're looking for a quick jewelry fix for a fair price and attention to details, James and Hertel Jewelers is the place.
