I am a first-time dog owner. I have a Labradoodle puppy. It was my first time coming into the Ellicott Street animal hospital and veterinary clinic. Upon arrival The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. I found the waiting room to be clean and spacious. I watched how they took care of dogs that were there for surgery and separating from their owners. They took the upmost care and responsibility for these peoples pets. That made me very happy we were brought back into a room. My dog was very frightened, and the doctors and the staff took very good care of him, he was given a few vaccinations. It was a very pleasant experience and cost-effective. Thank you so much

Everyone at Ellicott Street Animal Hospital is friendly and loving. They seem to actually care, rather than just trying to get you and your pet in and out.

I’ve been bringing my girl Zina since she was a pup only 4 months old, the staff are always understanding, kind & respectful. Pricing is a bit high but they have great care ??

Ellicott Street animal hospital is the best vet I’ve been to! They are so caring every time. My cat barely even noticed when the vet gave him his shot.

Very Conflicted writing this review because the staff here is great for the most part.
We got our dog surgery here and they got us in quickly and for a reasonable price. The problem is there was complications after the fact, I found extreme bruising and sent a picture and was told to come in, they reviewed it, and sent me home stating it was normal. Two days later the sutures started coming apart and puss was coming from the wound, I called again and sent pictures and was told again to come back. They put her on an antibiotic and then charged me a visit fee by a very rude vet tech because "it wasnt as bad as the picture appeared". Two days after that there was large hole and the drainage was filling a pad every two hours, again I brought her back and demanded to see a vet this time not just the vet tech who told me that she just needed a stronger antibiotic and then they put two stitches in here (without consulting me first) essentially just sealing in the infection. I was charged for a vet visit, a consult fee and the sutures I did not ask for, when I asked if I was double charged for the two fees I was told no that is how the vet intended to charge me.
3 days after that enough was enough and I took my dog to another vet who had to go in and redo the entire surgery. My dog is now healed with no complications. I called Ellicott street to advise them of this and to see if they had any input etc, the vet never called me back or never got my message.
Again, conflicted about the review, the front desk ladies are so nice and they got me in last minute and it was less expensive originally (it wound up being more expensive overall though because I had to get two surgeries) A call back from the vet, or some sort of credit would have gone a long way. Im sure for basic vet services they are okay but my experience with complications from surgery was poor and was not taken seriously.

Had an emergency with my cat and needed an appointment that day I called seeing it was Friday and couldn’t wait till Monday for treatment, got us in that afternoon. She was taken care of right away and realized she had an injury to her back got medication was able to take her home. The doctor and staff are very caring also answered all our questions and concerns.

If you love your fur babies THIS is the place you NEED to take them!!! and honestly, 5 stars isn’t enough or justifiable for what they do here.
not only are they extremely reasonably priced with have two convenient locations, the care, intellect in veterinary treatment, and professionalism is unmeasurable.
i brought my cat in for a sick visit and he ended up needing a few days hospital stay. Dr schuchman and lvt jessica were the ones to take his case and were absolutely AMAZING - and that’s still an understatement. i have never felt so comfortable with anyone taking in and caring for my baby without being around myself, but within 10 minutes of walking in the doors here, all of my concerns of that went out the window and i knew we made the right choice in ours cats care. dr schuchman and lvt jessica are an actual dream team in animal care and medicine, and i could write a book on how knowledgeable and dedicated to animals these immaculate ladies are.
not only was the dr able to diagnose, come up with a treatment plan while checking in that it lined up with our finances, fully treat and have my kitty feeling well enough to come home within days, both dr and lvt were also extremely attentive to my cat’s overall wellbeing, comfort level and even my emotions as a nervous wreck of a cat mom. between the updates throughout the day, full explanations of every step they were going to take in treating him, and seeing how at home my boy felt with them still has me speechless. when his stay ended, we left with no questions unanswered, or second guesses. we had been given all the right knowledge and information in how to treat him at home and left with such confidence in knowing they were and are with us every step of the way to support and cheer us on for our cats new health journey. every encounter i had here at ellicott st was so pleasant and comforting. dr schuchman, lvt jessica, dr nellis, riley, & carla, and everyone else at Ellicott St Vet hospital & north buffalo animal hospital THANK YOU for restoring my faith in buffalo veterinary services.
we recently had such a bad bout at other local places it had caused extreme reluctance and anxiety to us in anyone caring for our beloved cat, and i now know exactly where our furever home in pet care will be at! there are seriously no words that will justify the comfort, intellect in animal medicine and treatments, and physical & emotional care they were able to provide for my sweet kitty and his family. THANK YOU Ellicott Street Animal Hospital!

We now have three cats and I wouldn't take them anywhere else. The patience that everyone there has, and their care for the furry members of my family is better than anywhere I have been. I don't need to seek another animal hospital.
