I'm sure the classes are great and the studio, from the street, looks fantastic... Our problem was that we waited months to sign up for a specific class. We were told in March to come back on a certain day in June... We did exactly as we were told, but apparently the classes filled up within literally minutes! Then we were nonchalantly brushed off when we reached out to someone at the studio. Took our business elsewhere. It shouldn't be this difficult to sign up for a silly pottery class-- especially when we reached out months in advance!!!

If you have a chance to get in on one of their classes, do it! You will not be sorry. This is a great creative outlet and different class to take. This was my second time attending a class at Terra Clay. The first time was in 2020 as a birthday gift, and this time it was also for a birthday gift. My boyfriend and I had a blast. The classes are small. The class is split up into two groups with one group learning about the wheel, and throwing some pottery, and the other class makes something out of hand sculpting the clay.The instructor was great and made sure no one failed. We recently picked up our pieces and can't wait to use them because they are food grade safe. The tray will be for sushi and the bowl for snacking. Great experience!

I had no idea this place existed until a group of folks planned a private class here. I've wanted to throw pottery since I was little kid but I was too short back in the Artpark days. For 14 people, it was $65 per person to make one item on the pottery wheel and hand build one item. You could pick one to keep which they will trim, glaze, and fire for you or, for $15 more you could keep both, which covered the cost of materials.We had a 3 hour block of time, we were able to bring food and drinks to the studio, and try out some pottery. There were two instructors, one for our plate making and one of the wheel. They each did a demo of what we would be doing, then we split into two groups, one for each activity, then switched. It was a really good time. My only complaint was that I really wanted to do my throwing myself but whenever I asked a question, the instructor did it for me rather than describing the next step. I guess that's good if this is a one time thing and you want something presentable, but for me I really wanted to test out if this is something I want to start doing regularly, so I wanted to try every step.
