I often need to rent vehicles from this location and have yet to be let down. They have a wide variety of vehicles onsite. Tuesday, was there picking up a vehicle for work travel and was able to witness the outstanding customer service provided in a very high stress interaction. The associate politely educated and humored the customer although from what I witnessed, the customer was wrong. I could appreciate the associate keeping his cool and adhering to company policy without being rude or condescending.

This location is an embarrassment to Budget. They get an F in Customer Service. The cars smell awful, I found marijuana in my car so the cleaning standards are pretty low. I can not express enough how rude the front counter employees are. Budget needs to monitor this franchise location as they have completely turned me off from ever using Budget car rental again. I prepaid for my rental using my credit card and was advised upon arrival there would be an additional $250 hold as opposed to renting directly from the facility the hold is $150. They could not provide a clear answer of why so I chalked it up as policy and took the car that was provided. I drove away with the windows down and rolled the windows up at my destination. When I got in the car again it reeked of marijuana and whatever they used as an attempt to cover up the odor. The odor was so strong I got a terrible headache and could not pick up my children to take them to the airport. I was late arriving to the airport because I had to take that car back to exchange it. No apology for the inconvenience, no sympathy, empathy...NOTHING! I was only given another vehicle. When I returned the car, I noticed an additional charge and called customer service. I was told it was for time!!! I explained how much "time" I had to spend exchanging the first car. The gentleman I spoke with was immediately apologetic and advised he saw the exchange with no explanation provided. He advised the charge would be removed. The reason for the one star rating is solely for the facility. The agent could have very easily provided that courtesy having firsthand knowledge of my unpleasant issue.

Absolutely the worst customer service I've ever experienced. Car reeked of marijuana and was not thoroughly cleaned. Tire was flat and wrench to change it was missi from the trunk. The two guys working at the store were ZERO help. Take your business literally anywhere else.

Rented me a car that stunk of weed smoke and had gross slime spattered inside the car. No Covid cleaning. Car tire was low when I got it and flat the next morning when I needed to use it. Missed an important appointment and was not helped by budget Avis at all. This place is horrible.

I'll be nice and go with two stars, as it could have been worse. I booked a van online with them and came to get it the next day. They didn't have it, and the guy there just muttered about how that shouldn't have happened. (That's very helpful, of course.) He had, in fairness, left a voice message that I missed, but that was the end of his courtesy. No explanation, no suggestions about what to do or where to go, just it wasn't his fault and that was that. I understand that customer service standards are a bit different on Main St., but man, it's been a while since someone made so little effort to appease me after wasting my time and utterly screwing over my plans for the day. Would not recommend.

The customer service at this Budget office is horrible. Slovenly adherence to mask-wearing (in this, the 5th month of the pandemic). Filthy office. And if you're a woman alone --- just don't go there. It is not safe.

Terrible customer service!! This was my first time going thru this rental place, and the guy at the desk had a really bad attitude. He was t trying to answer questions he was more worried about getting us out the door. When I asked for more I information he just blew us off pretty much. Would not recommend this place for a car.

We rented a car in Albany and drove it to Buffalo. The folks in Buffalo were really helpful and the drop-off was quick and easy. One employee was kind enough to come out and assist us with everything we needed. Above and beyond!

Extra charges and very dirty car. Avoid at all costs. I picked up a Premium car here 36 minutes before my due pick up time of 11am. I asked if I could drop it back at 11am the next day without any extra charge and was told it would not be a problem. Now I have been charged an extra $140 for an extra 35 minutes of rental. Do not trust this company. The car was very dirty like other customers have mentioned and was far from a Premium car. Never again will I make the mistake of renting with Budget and Avis.

Worst place place ever do not deal with them they will overcharge you and they will not give you back your money they'll give you a receipt for one number but charge you another and then they won't even compensate you for what they took I hate this place worst place ever I swear to God I will never recommend them their cars are nasty their scratches all over them and it smells like cigarettes

I rented a car for a week online first thing in the morning on July 10th. Ordered a premium car, paid for it and all. In the afternoon I came up with a question after reading the reviews online for the Buffalo Main St location. So I called with my question and was put on hold by some women the second she picked up, said hold please. I waited on hold for a long time with nobody checking on me. Which was in the reviews that your put on hold forever. Not good business. So I hung up and canceled my reservation. I can't be worried about a car rental holding up my travels. Of course they still are charging me $50 for canceling my reservation, which I feel is uncalled for. Hey, if I can't trust the company to pick up the phone, I can't trust them for a hassle free rental. I'll give the $400 to another company.
