Didn't go to buy anything lately, but donated 16 bags of clothing, shoes, belts, safety vests, purses, and hangers. I help them because they also help me at times. And anything that helps vets is a good thing in my book.

Ridiculous pricing and crusty things for housewares/kitchenwares, other sections I don't know, very disheartening

Friendly & funny staff. They know where each section of this large thrift store is. They had two colored tag deals (one at 25%, one at 50%). They also had 50% off women's coats when I was there. Cheaper than Goodwill. We had to hunt a little more to find better condition pieces. We each found a few items we liked at really good prices.
Please like this review if you find it helpful.

Always love AmVets no matter the location. I just moved to Buffalo and got a good sized couch for $50 here and a whole set of dinnerware with some coffee mugs for like $5. Good thick winter coats for cheap, too.

A bit disorganized but still a good selection of items. If you want to hunt, this is the place to do it. They have amazing prices too.

The most absurd pricing I've seen at a thrift store. Items visibly broken or in an unknown condition sold for more than double what they're worth in a working condition.

I drove here thinking I was going to be able to afford some stuff. This place is literally stealing from there customers. 80 for this bowl it's as is though. $30 for this Fisher price kitchen set for your kid as is. This is not a thrift store they are literally jacking prices up and taking advantage of people who are already down on there luck. Whoever is the manager should be ashamed. Your supposed to help gets while offering good deals to your neighbors. If your looking for a deal you came to the wrong place. I'll never step foot in here again. Just keep ripping people off. Your sick! I would of loved to purchase for my daughter but come on this isn't Facebook marketplace this is a thrift store. Right????

I'm a West Coast girl who loves eclectic clothing from different generations. That makes me a vintage clothing maven. Nothing is more fun than filing through racks and racks of vintage apparel, and there's shortage of it at this Amvets. Loved it.

Found lots of good clothes here but you'll definitely need to sort through the pile.

I appreciate shopping at AMVETS! You keep the prices affordable so that I can get things I or my extended family needs in my budget.

This lace has quickly gone down the drain in the past 2 years, it's a shame too as ice always loved shopping here. I am appalled by the ridiculously overpriced items that often times are full of stains and holes. I've seen better looking furniture put out at the curb for garbage pickup than the crap that's out for sale here. Broken, chipped, dented, stained etc. just pure garbage!! I sell online and the profit margin is low to nil and quite frankly, not even worth it, unless I score with the 25/50% color tags of the week. I love most of the staff here and have gotten to know most of a first name basis. There is one employee who has an uppity attitude and makes you feel uncomfortable by he following you around the store, which is fine, I'm a paying customer. I guess they must have a lot of theft at this location as the manager is very adamant about leaving any bags or backpacks behind the sales counter I spent $33 last visit and was given one flimsy plastic bag that only held half of my purchase. I'm walking, so I definitely needed that second bag to put the rest of my items into. I patiently waited for the cashier who just rang me out to finish her side conversation with another customer waiting in line behind me to ask for the second bag. I was gruffly directed via her pointer finger with just 2 short words, "read sign" they've apparently got a policy in place that no extra bags are given How is that an extra bag when it takes 2 to fit my purchase? I would think any bags in addition to the amount needed to fit your entire paid for purchase would be considered extra. Instead of avoiding an argument and yes, I got loud due to being fed up with her flippant attitude, (which I later did apologize for) she refused the bag. I then approached the store manager thinking she'd surely understand, nope she refused to even consider what I know to be correct due to years spent working retail. I am so put off by this place. Something needs to change quickly because I hear a lot of others that feel the same way as I do, especially about the increasing high prices and steadily declining quality of items being put onto the sales floor.
