One of my favorites wine shops in the city. The curated wine selection is great. Had the pleasure to taste some excellent Oregon and California wines. They also have. Large selection of skin contact wines, which are my favorites.

My recent visit to Wright & Goebel Wine and Spirits was less than stellar, which is a shame as they had a promising wine selection. Unfortunately, the lady working there didn't make me feel very welcome. As soon as I walked in, there was absolutely no acknowledgment, which was quite a contrast to what happened a few minutes later when a white gentleman entered the store. When I asked for help choosing a wine, it felt like I was an inconvenience. After I picked a bottle based on her recommendation and asked if I could keep browsing, she simply walked away. I mistakenly assumed that it's common courtesy for them to take the bottle to the counter for the customer, but it wasn't there when I went to pay. I'm not exactly sure what's going on, maybe she's the owner and not accustomed to providing customer service, or prehaps the way I looked?. All I know is that with so many other options around, I'll definitely think twice before going back there.

Best wine shop in DTBK, knowledgeable and friendly staff and they rotate a variety of wines by region and also a good range in price so it's not overwhelming to the customer. There's always something new worth checking out. Take advantage of the rewards program, absolutely worth it!

I'm just going to defend this business for a second. Shoplifting is rampant these days. It is absolutely NOT racial profiling to confront a person who has put a bottle of alcohol in their tote bag.

Potential Racism Warning!!Been here a couple times to buy wine as it is a local shop. This visit I was surprised by the cashier claiming I was stealing vodka because I put it in my tote bag while I was trying to purchase other alcohol.She immediately told me to leave until I pulled out my wallet and told her I was a paying customer. She then insisted that putting stuff in a tote bag is suspicious, given that they don’t have carts I’m not really sure what else I’m supposed to do. She forced me to the register and essentially kicked me out while repeatedly insisting that the tote bag was suspicious and looks bad.I’m a man of color so it’s possible she judged me because of my skin color. Either way, won’t be supporting them again. Would have let it slide if the lady at the cashier offered a sincere apology instead of continuing to gaslight me that I looked suspicious because of my tote every other word.FYI to management, paper bags are getting banned everywhere, totes are in, know your customers, and don’t be racist. Thanks!

I was there for trial run job for 2 days..doing deliveries..I met amazing folks for those 2 days..I wish I could've stood as a permanent employee..but it just wasn't meant to be..and thank you so very much for your generosity with the tips..it was brought to my attention by ownership..that telling stories about myself and my previous job was driving her crazy..if she would of told me yesterday on day one..I would've shut my mouth and just been a boring human being..

Love this location, super helpful staff. The Hérisson Vin Rouge box is soooo yummy and they carry it here. Highly recommend trying it out, normally don’t go for boxed wine but it’s amazing! They carry plenty of amazing options and the staff is more than happy to help you find the perfect fit.
