Wet Whistle Wines is a great wine store and Cory, the owner, is like a Mensa-level wine expert and can suggest the most interesting wines. It’s worth the trip to Red Hook!

Called to ask about a possible wine in stock. Owner was conceited and rude. Not interested in providing basic answers to customer’s question who was looking to spend $90+. Plenty of other area wine shops that are much friendlier.

I love getting my wines and spirits here! Full disclosure: I know the owner from way back. But he always gives me, a mostly non-drinker, good advice on what to get for the special dinner or the special friend's event. When I see other customers come in, they seem happy when the owner chats with them. Many are repeat customers. So, yay! It's a great place to shop!
