We started coming here towards the end of our French bulldog’s life, but they definitely saved him more than once and provided medication and guidance on specialists to improve the quality of his remaining days as well. When he passed away (peacefully at home), we had him cremated with them and they provided us with the cutest little paw print keepsake. I saw our vet (Dr. V) on the streets weeks after his passing and she recognized me right away and hugged me for what seemed like forever while I sobbed over our loss.Dr. V and the entire team at Greenpoint Vets are top notch. They have always given an honest assessments and provided further resources when needed. Dr. Ibrahim has always shown compassion and patience with every visit. I will never considered going anywhere else.The clinic is small and there is a waitlist since there are no appointments. I would agree with the other reviews that say the wait is very long and should expect to be there for hours.But because I know what to expect, I plan out my day accordingly and get comfortable. What can I say? It is what it is. If anyone seriously has an issue with this, they should really consider going to an appointment based clinic instead! More room for the rest of us here lol.That’s just one of the downsides of going to a walk-in clinic, what does anyone expect? I find it worthwhile for the quality of care that the dr and staff give to each patient.”

We have a different vet that we take our dog to, but we took him to Dr Appel to confirm our vets diagnosis since our vet gave such a dire diagnosis. Dr Appel was able to confirm and provide further information and identify more issues with him. He took the time to discuss the options. Unfortunately, our little guy deteriorated very rapidly in the next couple hours and we made the decision to put him to sleep. We chose Dr Appel to do this and he brought dignity and sensitivity to the situation.”

“Great care and wonderful staff! My dog is almost 7 y/o and has only been treated at BHVH since he was a puppy. BHVH has taken care of my dog’s common and not so common issues. My dog once swallowed a tennis ball whole. He also recently broke his toe. No matter the medical adventure with our dog, BHVH always provides fantastic costumer service and thorough medical care. They patiently explain procedures and medication. They also provide helpful recommendations re care. We moved neighborhoods and continue to choose a 40 minute Uber (each way), over bringing our dog to a different vet.”
