Terrible grocery store. I live nearby and actively avoid it. They have a small selection, its all extremely expensive and so poorly laid out. When I asked why they didn’t have cheaper brands, the manager said “we’re not trying to be stop and shop”. WHY NOT. Who is asking for more expensive groceries? Avoid this place at all costs. It seems like a lost cause

Staff is unpleasant, everything is 30% or more above market prices. 1 extra point for a good a/c in the summer.

If you’re black, they will follow you around the store.
I went in there to buy pasta and fish. The employees were not friendly and were reluctant to help. When I was ordering the whole fish, they were even hesitant to take my order along with handing me the fish. I was just trying to enjoy my day, felt like I stepped in the twilight zone as if this isn’t CROWN HEIGHTS.

It was my first time visiting this market. The items are a bit pricey compared to other supermarkets. I liked the bakery section. Freshly baked goods are always a plus, and the sections are good too.
I'm normally a whole foods person, but since I was in the area, I decided to check it out.

Great market! Super clean, excellent selection of fab foods & very friendly staff. We picked up goodies for a picnic, including sushi & deli sandwich - loved it. Highly recommend!

Great store to have in the neighborhood for specialty items. However the music is extremely loud sometimes. Also no matter what time or day I go there, there are many, many employees stocking shelves and pushing carts of recent deliveries around the aisles. On more than one occasion I’ve felt chased down aisles by fast-moving delivery hand trucks and then couldn’t access multiple products because someone was in the way stocking the shelves or stacks of boxes were parked there. The shelves are always pretty stocked so there must be a better time to do this. Doesn’t make for a good shopping experience.

I’ve been frequenting this store since it opened and have found it to be a great addition to the neighborhood. Union Market has a wide selection of high quality items, and the staff is quite friendly excepting the occasional cashiers who regard you in an aggrieved manner and are obviously only there for a paycheck.
