Union Market, a beloved neighborhood grocery store in Park Slope, offers a unique shopping experience for locals and visitors alike. Despite some mixed reviews, the store is renowned for its beautifully arranged and meticulously clean environment. The selection at Union Market is impressive, featuring a wide variety of fresh produce, high-quality meats, seafood, and dairy products. While the prices may be on the higher side, customers appreciate the attention to detail and the store's commitment to providing top-notch products. The staff is generally described as courteous, although some customers have expressed a desire for a more personable and friendly approach. Nonetheless, the store's charm lies in its ability to capture the essence of the neighborhood, with a cozy "la belle vie" ambiance that appeals to both families and foodies. Union Market's bread selection is particularly noteworthy, and the "cheers corner" is a hit with both children and adults. Additionally, the store's small but well-curated fish and meat counter offers a selection of fresh and aged options. Overall, Union Market is a beloved institution in the Park Slope community, offering a premium shopping experience for those willing to pay a bit more for quality and convenience.
I agree with other customers - too expensive compared to other markets. Their organic blueberries - same day, same brand, same amount, cost $2.50 more than Trader Joe's.

Too expensive. Too crowded. Too tight. And still a great little place.

Gourmet store with nice products. But not inexpensive. Carries Orwasher bread, which saves a trip uptown
