I love a lot this place for the good products they sell but unfortunately the two people who are always behind the roast chicken treat people with a lot of bad energy and attitude. Why does it always bother the man there when the customer chooses the roasted chicken? What's his problem? If he doesn't like dealing with the public, he should get another job. Very disappointing to pay so much to be treated with badly ! . I am considering to go back to that place . I think I prefer walk my few extra miles to Whole Food but at least people are cordial and helpful !

While you dodge fake "emotional support" dogs in the aisles, you can make your way to the best rotisserie chicken you can get in a supermarket.

Picked up a few staples and the produce section had fresh options, which I thoroughly appreciated. There is a butcher available to provide freshly cut meat, and a pre-made food section for those on the go!

Busy place but has a lot of yummy foods. The prepared foods are good quality, variety and tasty. Nice quick stop.

Beware everything you buy here would be a dollar pricier than the price tag on the item; if you get something priced $7, you will be charged $8 at the cashier. That applies to every single item you buy.

Mozzarella four days past its sell by. Fiddlehead ferns that are brown and withered and disgusting. Wild mushrooms dessicated. Wide open tulips $4 more than better quality in the neighborhood. The high prices do not reflect this poor quality. And then I bought red and white endive - same price, $6.99/lb (which is high). But the cashier removed the red ones from the bag with her bare hands, that had just accepted cash, and weighed them out on their own. She charged me $8.99/lb for them. I said they were the same price, and that the red is not the long red treviso (maybe she was mixing them up). She looked at me, didn't reply. Rang me up. I said again, the endives are actually the same price. Her response? Just stared at me and handed me the receipt. Flat-eyed, no expression. Really? Bye, Union Market. I don't know what your problem is (bad management? poor training? contempt for customers? low staff morale?), but it's consistent. I have other options.

Good selection of produce, but prices are becoming obscenely expensive. The other day I bought four things and it was already at $40. Good if you need things fast but there are cheaper and better options in the area.
