Unfortunately they wont honor their own prices on their website. I purchased a lens from their website thinking I was getting a great deal. Got a confirmation email and everything. No call, no email. I called to check on the status of my order and was told they weren't going to fill it because of a "price glitch" in the system. Seems pretty shady all around. I have ordered from Tristate before and had no issues with them. The right thing from a customer service perspective would have been to honor the price and for them to fix their "error" going forward. Shop elsewhere, its not worth the hassle.

I was offered a slight discount, not a substantial discount. The right thing to do from a customer service perspective would have been to honor the price and correct the price error thereafter. I would be surprised if there were a “substantial” amount of orders on such a specific niche lens. I didn’t find the good price on a search engine. I went to Tristates website on my own to look for the lens since I had purchased from them before. I never saw the price from tristate in any searches I did for the lens.

Tried to cancel an order online a day after ordering, I was informed they would reply within a day, no reply they sent the item without sending me any tracking information ,I paid to return the unopened item , they received it Monday, no refund until I contacted them Friday, on a 90 dollar purchase they withheld 18 dollars from my refund, these people are crooks, do not do business with them.

I ordered a lens from Tri-State for the first time on eBay. I placed the order Wednesday morning and received the lens Friday afternoon. Great communication, fast shipping and packed well. I love new toys and I've piddled with it a little, but look forward to some real testing over the weekend. I'll upload some shots on a re-review. Great job Tri-State!

Please read carefully. Just like another supplier of photo products in the NYC area that has the word ‘bees’ in the name, this company ALSO REFUSED to supply me all the products I ordered in kits as purchased. I wrote them after the first delivery with 5/8 of what should have been there, letting them know what was received and what was NOT……they send another package still short three items (roughly 100 dollars of product). I will not waste any more time. They know what belongs in each package and they refuse to supply me with all that is purchased.
Some consumer agency with the state of NY should shut these people down.
Do not buy anything online with these photo people in the NYC area…..my own and many other negative reviews tell a story.
In my opinion, both of these retailers are nothing but horrible, devious people!

Ordered 2 lenses from here, one being the very expensive 85mm 1.2 and the other a cheaper 40mm f2. Experience was good on both orders. I know it was grey market lenses going in but best prices around! They called to verify the order. No bait and switch or aggressive upselling, just asked if I wanted a filter for it and shipped it fast and packaged well. Spoke with Gary, he was kind and easy going for a quick phone call. I highly recommend this store and will be a returning customer.

Honestly the worst customer service. My boyfriend ordered the sony xm4 headphones for a christmas gift. They came in late and in the wrong color. Have been reaching out almost everyday since the package came in and they have been no help. The last guy I spoke to told me he'd send me a return label and that was it. Nothing about sending it in the right color and gave no apology for the mix up.

Wouldn’t recommend this company to my worst enemy, I recently ordered a $120 coffee pot from Tri State Camera, and my experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. Instead of receiving the product I paid for, they sent a cheap replacement that clearly didn’t match the value of my purchase.Despite my attempts to resolve the issue, Tri State Camera refused to provide a refund or any meaningful support. Their customer service demonstrated a shocking level of incompetence and disregard for customer satisfaction. I strongly advise anyone considering a purchase from this company to think twice, as they seem more interested in taking your money than delivering on their promises. Save yourself the frustration and look elsewhere for a reliable and reputable seller.

Absolutely a great Camera Store! In fact I cannot understand the negative reviews. The shop is legit, the folks nice, the stuff gets shipped on time and works fine. I got a camera that was not even available in B&H or Adorama etc. I will buy again, so thanks Mark, Steve and all the folks who work here!!

The price was good. The Sony earbuds didn't work properly. I called Tri State and asked if I should return them directly to Sony. They said yes and that they'd extend the 30 day warranty period. Sony returned the earbuds, but the bluetooth connection didn't maintain the pairing after 1 use. I returned them to Tri State, expecting more of a refund than I received. (I paid $185; refund was $142). They said it was "after 30 days and this was a courtesy".This business is disappointing and customer service is not good at all. My attempt to patronize an online store besides Amazon cost me $43 for nothing, as well as weeks coordinating the effort.

This store is not ethical. I bought Sony earbuds from them because I wanted to use other businesses than Amazon. I'm disappointed because the earbuds didn't function correctly. I returned them to Sony at Tri-State's request. They were returned with bluetooth connectivity issues, so I returned them to Tri State for a refund. I paid $185. They refunded $142, "as a courtesy" because the 30 day warranty period was past. It was past because I returned them to Sony first. And their customer service is frustrating, so beware.

I got a super good deal on a lens from them cheapest brand new lens on the Internet. It was just as they described but after a week of having it I wanted to return it because it was out of my price range so I called them up and they were very nice. They said just return it for a full refund they even sent me a free shipping label. and after all that, I decided to keep the lens because it was such a good deal. This company is super professional highly recommended.
