Unfortunately had my hair done by Linda and I was extremely disappointed with the turnout. I had waist long curly hair. This time zina was not in when I called and I was assured by Linda that she does an amazing job with curly hair. I specifically told her to add layers without cutting much off my length. I left the salon with 6 inches shorter which is now shoulder length when curly. I hate hate hate my haircut. It took me years to grow. even though she's good person with great intentions, Linda did not understand or listen to what I wanted. I would not reccommend cutting curly hair with her. Even though she has many years of cutting hair, she lacks experience with new techniques or layers on curly hair. I'm sorry for this review but people need to know. before and after pic for length reference.

I went yesterday for curtain bangs and a little trim. This was my second time here. The first time I wanted the same look a year ago. When I went yesterday Ben took the liberty upon himself to cut my hair in layers and made my hair so much shorter than what it was when I went in. On top of that he didn’t fully blow dry my hair, it was still moist at the roots and my roots were still curly and puffy. By the time I walked home a few blocks in COLD weather my hair was completely frizzy and curly like I didn’t just get my hair done at all. Ben doesn’t know how to do hair that has a little bit of curl to it. You can not go over my hair with a tiny brush and a blow dryer one time and think It’s gonna be done. I have very thin slightly curly/frizzy hair. It’s easy to flat iron but with a blower you have to make sure you hit it with high heat until it’s the frizz is completely gone. The worst part is when I went to Ben a year ago for the same thing he charged me only $30, yesterday he charged me $45 and the job was horrific. I will never ever ever ever in my life go back to this place. The fact that anyone thought my hair looked acceptable for me to leave after having to pay $45 is beyond me. If trends happens to contact me I have photos of as soon as I stepped out of the salon hair was frizzy and horrible and photos of as soon as I got home.

DO NOT GO TO THIS HAIR SALON! Linda did my hair and has no idea what she's doing. I showed her a picture to get a warm blonde. She gave me ash blonde with borderline silver purple hair w out it even blending. I had streaks of white. It looked horrible. I asked for layers, she cut my hair straight and just cut two pieces in the front of my head to make it short and called it layers. Then she charged me 250 and told me to come back and she'll fix it. I went back and she put dark brown on my roots and added a gold warm toner. I literally ended up having a botched job of what I already came in w. Atleast what I had before was a beautiful blend my my precious hairstylist. I paid 250 to leave w my original hair just really bad on the roots, patchy, and so dead from the bleach. I told her that this is literally a worst version of what I had and she started yelling and told me not to come back and how I'm unappreciative of her doing my hair twice although she was the one who messed it up. She also made racist comments and made me feel uncomfortable.

I have used this hair salon for at least 8 years and although I am not from Brooklyn, I keep going back. Zeena knows how to take care of my hair needs in an effective and efficient manner. I have been going to Trends for years. Ben is amazing, he is only one who can make me look good in any hair style. I moved away from NY, but I can not find a hair dresser like Ben . I go back to NY from time to time, and I would make sure I get my hair cut from Ben before I leave.

Horrible place!! I made an appointment two weeks before I went, I also called them the day that I had my appointment just to check in with them that I have an appointment at 3pm. When I arrived with my mother they had no idea about my appointment, they were confused. Anyways, Zina did my hair she immediately started doing it. She barely looked at the photo that I have showed her and she just started coloring my hair. I wanted golden blonde balayage, instead I got GREY AND WHITE HIGHLIGHTS!!! As she was combing my hair she ripped it out, instead of combing it carefully. Do yourself a favor and don't go to this place, they have no idea what they're doing!!!!!! ESPECIALLY NOT ZINA!!
