This shop has the absolute worst customer service I've ever experienced in my entire life. The staff is completely unprofessional and unapologetically so. On December 26, 2022, I called the store and talked with a gentleman named Motty. I ordered a case of wine (totaling a little over $200) to be sent as a gift to a friend who lives in Brooklyn. Motty instructed me to send him an email with my credit card information, the name of the gift recipient and the substance of the gift message. I did so.On December 27, 2022, when I followed up with an email to confirm receipt. There was no response. I followed up with a telephone call and was told that they were very busy because of the holiday season, so it hadn't been delivered yet. Nevertheless, they told me that they'd get back to me. No one ever got back to me.On December 31, 2022, I sent an email asking about the status of the order. No one responded. On Sunday, I noticed a charge to my credit card in the amount of approximately $230. I called the store today, Monday, January 2, to inquire about the order. I was told it was delivered on "Monday", but the staff member didn't specify which Monday it was delivered, and didn't seem to be too sure if it really was delivered on a Monday or some other day.. I asked the staff member for a receipt, a list of the wines that were sent, and a copy of the gift message that was sent.The staff member said he could look for the credit card receipt, but didn't keep a list of the wines that were part of the case (i.e., no itemized invoice), and didn't have any other information. I asked why no one had responded to my emails, and the staff member responded they were busy. I asked how they could be so busy that they couldn't even email me a response letting me know when it was delivered, itemizing the wines that were included in the gift,or any confirmation that the gift message I sent was actually included in the case. I said that at a minimum, the professional and courteous thing to do would be to respond to my emails and just let me know the wines were sent, what they were, and provide an itemized invoice. The staff member told me that he tried calling me. I said if that's the case, he didn't leave a message. He responded, "I guess that may be true."There was not the slightest hint of an apology or any understanding whatsoever as to why I was even upset about it. After all, the wine was delivered! What wines were delivered? They don't know. Why was I charged the amount I was charged? They can't tell me because they didn't keep a record of the wines they sent. At best, this establishment has the absolute worst customer service of any wine shop I've ever encountered, and at worst, they could have included a case of cheap wines, charged me over $230, and failed to include a gift message. For all I know, the case was never delivered.I would think twice about shopping here. There are many wine stores out there with kosher wines. The store managers and employees have no respect for their customers. Why support this store?
