My experience with the agency was horrible. The seller's agent (who works here) literally told me the only reason why I would need my own agent is if I want to submit an offer below the list price. Zero stars!

Worked with an agent from this office and her work habits left a ton to be desired. She would take forever to get back to me and had little to no answers to even the simplest of questions. She did end up showing me 2 coops and neither came even close to what I described I was after. Neither coop was her listing and she was muttering through the basics, reading info about them off the sheets that we found in both apartments (with other agents' names on them). I can't even recall her name as I then switched to another agent from a different local agency. I did originally expect a lot more from a brand like Corcoran. This morning I looked up that office to try to recall the agent's name and she seems to have since departed for an even bigger brand. Oh well. Maybe the size of brand does matter, I don't know. Maybe there she finds more inspiration and motivation to do her job. It was just a very frustrating few days and I remember them well enough to have wanted to share this.

Hello all, I met with a person named Wil Nelson who first off was unresponsive as he asked me to text him in regards to my budget( I have section 8). When I did that he still didn't reply. I had to keep calling him to ask when I could come see the place. Finally he told me( not asked) if I could come in and see the apartment in Brownsville Brooklyn on 3/8/23. When I got to the place I had my daughter with me and he looked like he didn't want to even help me up the stairs with the stroller. I got to the apartment and he was very short with me even though I was trying to make small talk with him. He seemed annoyed like he didn't want to be bothered. After I viewed the place I asked him how soon were they looking to rent the apt, he stated ASAP but there were 6 other applicants and that afterwards he would email me an application. He never emailed me the application. A total waste of my time, and very unpleasant.I thought with him being from the neighborhood that he'd be in a position to help but I guess I was wrong. My advice is to be pleasant with people, you never know when you might need that person one day.

our experience with Linda Leon was a waste of time basically . we provided all info she asked for and made us wait for 3 weeks to tell us at the end that the landlord has chosen another application although we have a very good credit score and more than enough income to rent the apartment . My be she just didn't like our background and she was waiting for other people and kept us waiting as a last resort . so avoid this real estate agent and this company and save your time

If I could give six stars then I would! Allie Jones with the Corcoran Group helped me find my most recent rental and she was such a pleasure to work with. She is very responsive and answered all of my questions any time of day! Allie will do her best to find you a rental that fits your needs and guide you along every step of the way. I highly recommend working with Allie if you are looking for your next home.

I strongly advise anyone reading this not to work with Corcoran whether you are selling or buying/renting. I have never come across such a horrible and unprofessional company. This review is about SOPHIA LI and JUNE CHIN. We had a deal in place and they screwed us over and went back on their word. We were sent an email letting us know that our offer was accepted. We signed papers and sent it back. Over the next 3 weeks I communicated over text with Sophia about little things like blinds, she mentioned the dishwasher needed to be replaced and I had asked about moving in a few weeks later due to being away. We had informed our current landlords we would be vacating July 1st instead of September 1st. Today I find out that they decided to rent it to someone else without any notice. I was then put on the phone with June Chin who might be the most obnoxious person I've ever spoken to. I honestly don't know how she is an actual broker. It felt like I was talking to a wall and then she hung up on me! We are only as good as our word and for these people (who represent Corcoran) their word means NOTHING. They screwed us over and now we have less than 2 months to find a place to live. There are so many better brokers in NYC and elsewhere to use. I implore anyone reading this not to use them.

I have, in less than a month, reached out to a realtor from this Corcoran office via Street Easy requesting tours for three different apartments, only to receive no response. Even when I submit multiple requests. I always submit an initial request within hours of when the apartment is first listed. I suspect the lack of response has to do with the spelling of my name which clearly indicates that I am Latina. Searching for housing in NYC is traumatic enough of an experience without having to worry about discrimination from relators. The realtors associated with the most recent no response listing were: George Pigott and Nathalie Roy. This is a serious problem that Corcoran needs to address and correct. I imagine I am not the only person who has experienced this.

My realtor was Aaron Chesky, and I had a horrible experience working with him. I had so many issues with my apartment (managed by Solar Management, a nightmare of a company), and got zero help from Aaron. He told me he would be there to listen to my complaints and relay them all over to Solar (they never answered me calls or emails)... but he never helped. The apartment he rented to me was right above the boiler room in the building, and that was never mentioned to me. It got insanely hot in there when they turned the heat on, like pushing 90 degrees kind of hot. Found out that my neighbor had the same experience working with Aaron. Don't rent from this person, they'll only disappoint you.

My experience with Wassim Fakhereddine was incredibly frustrating and unprofessional. He was barely responsive and as far from transparent as you can possibly imagine. He strung me along for a week about an apartment showing only to cancel (only after I emailed the day of the showing) saying "the super canceled on us". I saw a couple of hours later that the apartment had been rented that day. I recommend avoiding this agent at all cost as he clearly has no respect for others and their time.

I rented an apartment in Park Slope from Raisa Galker and Dan Chen about a month ago, and this has been the worst rental experience of my life, every step of the way thanks to her and Corcoran. First she sent me incorrect account information for rent and deposit payments, and had me wire almost 7k to a wrong account. Then she (for no reason and with no explanation) kept refusing to put me in touch with the building management until 2 days before my move-in date and eventually the cited reason was them waiting for the payment to clear (payment to the wrong account number she gave me, which I immediately provided confirmation numbers for). This resulted in me then living in the apartment without gas an internet for a week because I wasn’t able to schedule appointments on time. To top it off, the apartment is located directly above a very old, very loud boiler room which makes the walls and floor shake and makes a loud dull noise (sound and vibrations similar to a moving plane) consistently, day and night. I haven’t slept through the night since I moved in. Raisa and Corcoran of course made no mention of this and even went out of their way to market both the apartment and the area as quiet and peaceful. Since the weather was warmer during the open house this would have been impossible to notice when I came to see the place, since the boiler was off. I paid Corcoran over 6k in broker’s fees for this insane experience which has caused me stress and anxiety that are still ongoing. STAY AWAY FROM THIS INSANELY UNPROFESSIONAL, CROOKED PLACE. I would rather be homeless than rent from them again.

Rented an apartment back in December from Josiane Lysius, an agent at the Seventh Ave Corcoran. The apartment had filthy water that for 6 months was never repaired. The apartment had cockroaches and rats, which we found out was an issue before we moved in as an exterminator made us aware of. Josiane lied to us, from the gate. We were told the apartment would be thoroughly cleaned before moving in and cosmetic issues would be fixed, they weren't. She implied that we were the cause of rats and pests stating "the tenant before us was the cleanest person she ever met" even tho we know first hand that tenant had hired the exterminator that came by years prior for the cockroach infestation. We have record that the water was issue prior to us moving in. I called Josiane with question as advised by her once we terminated our lease, as the landlord hired her to facilitate getting our deposit back. She raised her voice and interrupted the entire time refusing to answer specific questions I had. When I asked if her, her husband, or Corcoran knew there was brown dirty water, roaches, and rats prior to moving in she hung up on me. She then composed and sent an email lying about my character. She accused me of treating her as a punching bag. She can't handle tough questions especially when the pertain to the professionalism that would go into her specific job. We were advised by my lawyer that we could of sued for an abated amount of the rent, our deposit (which we did get back) and for the cost moving since we left early due to unsanitary conditions - but we didn't. In hindsight we should have, especially after my encounter with Josiane. If you can avoid Corcoran and specifically Josiane Lysius I would.

Kurt showed me a fake listing — he even got me to sign a lease — and then suddenly the apartment “was rented to someone else” and he tried to offer up some cheap hole in a neighborhood miles away. Most of the listings are fake - save your money and work with a place that isn’t in it for your social security info!

I worked with Jason B and he was absolutely the most arrogant agent I've ever worked with. He was constantly degrading my roommate and I when we tried negotiating the price of the unit we wanted to close on. Using language like "unfortunately for you..." and many other unfriendly words, it was not a pleasant experience. On top of that, he was an extremely poor communicator. I had to call him every day for an update which ended up being non-updates. The apartment is still listed on the market at a price point he told us wasn't possible. I can't speak on behalf of all the agents at compass however my experience with Jason has Deterred me from working with this agency ever again. Somebody like this individual should not be in the industry of sales.

Oh, boy! Here we go. Didn't have a good experience with them. The sad part is, I just haven't been having any luck with realtors lately. This just added to the wild and tragic realtor rollercoaster ride that I'm on. Just repeated sequences of realtors that don't care, and have issues delivering outstanding customer service. I needed to move and was working with an agent on a few places. I immediately knew something was wrong from the very start because the realtor seemed extremely unresponsive. I was a bit confused, but i thought maybe it was all in my head. Why would a realtor making thousands of dollars being a tour guide, be unresponsive and not be interested in making any money? To my surprise, i found that realtor. Oh, yes! A unicorn indeed. I won the jackpot (repeatedly). Almost every realtor lately seems uninterested in making an income. Either they are uninterested, lazy, or evil and use intimidation tactics. Don't even try it. It is NOT the last apartment in NYC. We are in a pandemic, so CUT the BS! Here is the thing, we are in a pandemic. I probably misread the situation when channels 1, 2, 4, 5, 7 and 11 news repeatedly reports on NYC real estate being down in the dumps and the % of unoccupied apartments keep rising. If that's the case, then realtors aren't making any money. Then what is on earth is going on with all the unresponsiveness? The realtors must clearly be pocketing 25K every month because they all seem uninterested in showing places that are up to my standards. They won't even answer simple questions (i.e. rent stabilized, duration of the lease, name of the management company, is there an onsite super). I'm a potential tenant. Please do some work if you want 50% commission. Come on! I wish the agent, and all prior agents good luck in their endeavors. Glad everyone is getting 25K plus a month that i got the cold shoulder, and that my commission check meant nothing to them.
