Hands down one of the ugliest buildings in Brooklyn.

This is a great and reliable building to live in. The apartments are designed very efficiently to make most of what is typically a small New York space. The best part of the building is the staff at the front and behind the scenes, working hard to keep the building clean, safe and operating. The maintenance team is super reliable, especially Jamel who is always so professional and polite AND QUICK with repairs! The concierge and staff alone are enough to get me through to another renewal (hopefully). Curtis, Musa, Anthony, Val… what lovely people!

We had a great experience with Jamel Fuller and Jon Jerez installing a new washer and dryer in our apartment on Tuesday 3/12/24. They did a fantastic job installing and informing us on how to use the new machines. I appreciate the care and attention to detail they displayed in our apartment.

My son's apartment refrigerator was experiencing cooling issues and had a continuous water leakage, causing considerable inconvenience. However, thanks to the support team of the building and their prompt action, the issue was quickly resolved. They arranged for someone to address the problem on July 5th, just one day after my son reported it. I am thrilled to report that the refrigerator is now functioning perfectly! The presence of a reliable maintenance team is reassuring. I am grateful for the swift assistance provided by the apartment's assistant super, who promptly attended to the matter.I am extremely pleased with the level of service we received, and I highly recommend this apartment complex. The outstanding support provided by the team has made my son's stay here a positive experience. The professionalism and care demonstrated during this situation have been commendable.

I rarely write reviews like this, let alone for places I've lived, but I can't say enough good about this building and its management team. The latter in particular can really make or break the residential experience. In this case, I'm happy to say it's the former: Andre, Carolina and Phenixx at the management office have consistently gone above and beyond -- proactively, even -- on matters relating to our move-in and continued residence here. Two years into my stay, I still find myself feeling as if it's too good to be true. Though the current team is new, they came in with an incredible energy and have made an effort to get to know and personally connect with the residents here.In terms of amenities, this place can't be beat. The 24-hour gym, and both the rooftop and indoor lounge, have become homes away from my actual apartment. All of this in the context of the New York rental scene makes this place an unbelievable find.

Our experience applying for an apartment here was surreal and terrible. We applied for, and were approved for, an apartment. We applied for an August 4 move-in date, and got written confirmation. Then we get our lease, and it has July 21 as the move-in date on it. No problem, we think. We'll just ask them to correct the error. After a day of vague "we'll look into it" emails, they call us back right before close of business to tell us that, due to an error on their end, our application "timed out" before it was complete, and the move-in date somehow reverted from August 4 to July 21st. They tell us there's "nothing they can do" because of "procedures," as if changing two dates on a lease is some gargantuan effort requiring a supermajority at the UN Security Council. Graciously, however, they tell us we can simply complete a new application for an August 4 move-in date. But wouldn't you know it? In the last 24 hours, the rent had jumped 500 dollars a month! Isn't that just the darndest thing! Thus, we were faced with a choice. Option A, being extorted for half a month's rent we didn't want and didn't apply for; OR, Option B, paying 500 extra dollars in rent a month for the two-year term of the lease. All because their system glitched. So we chose option C instead: ask for our holding deposit back and vow to never do business with Equity Realty. We've lived in New York for years. We get it, the rental market is competitive. Even by that standard, their behavior was outrageous. It's a shame, because the apartments seem nice. We would have been happy to pay the fair market rent we applied for had they shown a shred of honesty and good faith.

The remaining elevators' unreliability is a growing concern, with wait times often exceeding 10 minutes during peak hours. This not only disrupts daily schedules but also raises questions about safety. The knocking and shaking sensations are disconcerting, creating a sense of unease every time we step into the lift.In a 51-story building, functioning and efficient elevators aren't a luxury, they're a necessity. It's high time the management takes concrete action to rectify this issue. We, the residents, deserve an environment that's both comfortable and safe. Investing in the upkeep of elevators will not only improve residents' satisfaction but also potentially increase the building's reputation and desirability for future tenants.

We had an absolutely horrible experience applying for an apartment here. We applied for a lease and their system glitched and changed the lease start date to be 2 weeks earlier. When we asked for them to correct their error, they said that our desired start date would now be $500 more per month and "there was nothing they could do about it" when it was completely in their control to remedy. The only silver lining of the experience is that we found out how corrupt the leasing company is before we signed a lease.

They’ve reported a late payment that significantly negatively impacted my credit score and I’ve been unable to find out any information about how to reconcile. Would someone from management please reach out?
