I had an amazing experience . And I felt safe there was plenty security around. And they have a easy way of paying for drinks and food. The place was huge. Its a bit shocking that this place in the middle of Brooklyn!! And this is why I ❤️New York!!!!

From going to Avants version of Ezoo back in 2023 to attending the S2O festival in 2024... had the same vibes for the entry - it felt like going to through TSA - walking in to be ID'd felt like an ICE check point. They had a ton of armed gaurds and regular bouncers, all with very poor attitudes, and expensive machines to ensure your identification is valid. Who knows where this scanned information goes? Seems very extreme to me... They force you to get a wrist band for easy payment (which is understandable) but kinda throws off your experience to a club/show.
As you arrived they do the whole song and dance to check you but since they are incompetent they are on power trips when they know they don't even know their protocols. Once you are released by the gaurds and give you a pass to go through, you are allowed to go. If they try and use their force to say"oh wait"... No! Don't let them intemidate you by trying to force you back because they are incompetent. You do not have to show them anything and they are not cops. Know your rights.
Overall venue is just a venue... Too many "security" guards in there doing nothing but trying to look at the women/men in the bathrooms. They need to learn to pick up a mop and bucket and clean before they get a lawsuit for someone slipping on their piss.
Very very dissatisfied on people who attend these "edm" "electronic music" shows. Have a little fun! Shesh.... Dance around, open up the floor... Live a little... The most uptight crowds are at clubs. With 17+ years of going to concerts/live music events, I never been so bored than being at a edm concert in a club environment.
Last but not least... These people who own this place still have paid back the people who were screwed out of Ezoo tickets in 2023. So, overall - they don't actually care about the attendees, only the money.

Security is untrained and a running liability. They bully, gang up on and prey on people under the influence. Security freely uses pepper spray and kicks people out with no warning. Biggest problem is their own staff.
Lovely venue otherwise.

The service attitude of the staff here is extremely bad, they are violent, they will push customers, and there is racial discrimination. The drinks are also very expensive. I will never come to this place again. It is a disgusting place.

A very fun concert venue. The Brooklyn Mirage is dazzling, the audio engineering is fantastic (at least for what I’ve seen from other concert venues). The drinks are very expensive but that’s to be expected.
All of the concerts I’ve been to at the venue sell tickets through the DICE app instead of Ticketmaster (thank goodness). There is a large security presence by the entrance and exit, this gives me a sense of safety while in the venue.
I only have one major issue with the venue, and that is if you’re going to a sold out show, it will not be pleasant. There are far too many people in general admission to get a spot where you’d have a clear view of the stage, unless you’re okay with pushing and shoving. There are so many people in a sold out show, it’s difficult to get through the passage into the main area. People are watching the show through the doorway to the restrooms. The VIP section is also overcrowded in a sold out show. There are about three times too many people for the space along the upstairs balcony, there were 3 rows of people watching a sold out show. For how expensive those tickets are it would be very disappointing to not get a spot anywhere along the balcony railing. If you’re shorter, you’d be out of luck.
I enjoy seeing shows here a lot, but I wish they limited the capacity by ~15%.

Went for s2o and really enjoyed my time there. I didn’t bring bags so I can’t speak to the baggage holding area. Bring cash or credit card to top up on credit, because digital wallets doesn’t work.
PS. Imo rather aggressive drivers in that area. A lot of honking.

I've been going to this venue for over a decade and since this year started, I've had nothing but trouble. I was wearing a transparent drawstring bag with just a fan in it and they made me put it in coat check! This time, they wouldn't allow me to bring my EMPTY water bottle into the venue despite going past security. The team was set up to watch people and they sure enough made me put my bottle in coat check.
I know times are hard but you're really gonna force me to buy water when I'll happily drink from the fountain for free? Nah, f yall. You can't have gum either if u didn't know. I'm no longer gonna be a regular at this venue and I'd rather take the trip to Philly instead.
The venue has excellent sound depending on what part of the building you're in so acoustics are great. The floor plan is easy to figure out, but security is so strict now, they've ruined my night twice. I'm over it

Y’all refused my sister and her friends who had already bought tickets because they were trying to take care of a girl who was obviously drunk and in distress. Super Lame

Brooklyn Mirage is a big rave venue in NYC, and I often go there, especially during the summer. Since it's an outdoor venue, it feels like a mini electronic music festival. The only downside is that it often feels oversold, making it extremely crowded. But the sound system and lasers here are really great.

First thing first, overselling tickets is getting out of control. During popular shows, the venue is just way too crowded to do anything. It used to be just fine.
Some ID check staff seems to enjoy giving people hard times (NOT all of them). I respect Brooklyn Mirage for being very strict on fake IDs, but there were two times I got checked and rudely treated because I had a valid visa on an expired passport, which by their policy, is actually good to go.
I lost my passport earlier this year, and while I was waiting for my new passport, I had to use my expired passport. Luckily, I found a US visa that’s still valid on it and I was using the valid visa to fly domestically and attend events.
I know it’s tricky from the staff perspective looking at an expired passport. I also acknowledge that even if I can get on a plane with this valid visa, it doesn’t automatically mean that I can get in Mirage with this too, so I totally understand their first reaction might be a NO. However, they could put it more nicely instead of yelling at me saying I have to leave, IMMEDIATELY, like I’m some kind of criminal.
I had this experience twice this year, and both times I had to talk to the supervisor of the day. Interestingly, both supervisors told me without a second thought that a valid visa is good, and they eventually let me in. Thank you supervisor Christian and Winston. You guys are the best.
By the way, before I entered, I double checked with them if they were just giving me an exception entry, but they told me firmly that a valid visa on an expired passport has no problem at all.
I’m not usually a complaining person and given my expired passport situation, I’m not even mad if they don’t let me in. I just wish I could be treated more respectfully. If staff aren’t sure about certain things, they can ask me nicely to talk to the supervisor and I will happily do so. Instead, they spoke to me with a super cold and even somewhat angry face. “Leave, now. Go get something else”. Right before I could explain anything, I was literally forced to leave the checkpoint. Man, I have been to countless venues but this attitude is like no others.
That being said, the only two supervisors that I met are very nice and reasonable people. They listened to my situation very patiently. I only have love for them. Big shout out.
Again, I don’t want to complain too much here because I suppose staff training might not cover rare cases like mine and people do make mistakes, but I think it’s a bottom line that customers are treated more like people, not animals. Just a reminder, we each pay $100+ ticket every night to give you guys jobs. I even had a vip season pass last year to support the venue. Much as I love Brooklyn Mirage, I just don’t quite understand the power tripping situation here at the ID check.
Complaints aside, I have to say this venue still holds quite a special place in my heart with good memories. The screen is fire even by today’s standards. The lineups turn weekends into festivals. I have enjoyed some of my favorite shows here. I wish it gets better everyday.
And I’ll keep bringing my expired passport.

This place has gone drastically downhill in the past 4 years. It used to be a place where ravers could go to have chill vibes and lots of PLURR now it’s basically just another NYC club. The coolest part about this place USED to be that you could go to the roof and take photos and feel the breeze and look down at the dance floor. I had a photo of me and my group for EVERY event up there and now they changed it to VIP only. (The picture I added was from that roof) They have over sold and overcrowded many of the events I’ve been to and they now promote it as a club not a rave venue.
The only reasons I’m not giving it 1 star is that the stages, pyrotechnics and venue itself are still good, the miojitos are great (strong but expensive) and the staff is friendly and helpful.
