It is a rare opportunity when you get to be amongst several animals, in this instance cats, as they go about their day. The cats meander around, looking for engaging humans to hang with, in between their seemingly perpetual nap times. I saw younger cats annoying other cats just for the heck of it and also many cats loving to play and be petted. The environment is well supervised inside a former bar and restaurant. The superb staff offers insights into each cat such as their energy level, their temperament, their age, and what sort of previous stimulation they’ve had in the day. All the cats may be adopted after a thorough vetting application and personal interview. The Cat Cafe commits itself to finding the correct fit between each cat and their human. The modest $15 charged for a 30 minute visit is well worth your time to get your “cat fix” and you may just develop a lifelong relationship with a fellow feline.

What a fantastic place, doing fantastic work. The cats are tired from all the love, but all the animals are clean, healthy and safe and it was a great place to bring my daughter.

We visited today and were quite disappointed with the experience. Like a previous reviewer mentioned, my child was told to lower her voice, which I found quite upsetting. If children are expected to be quiet, then the establishment should clearly state that it isn’t kid-friendly and reconsider charging children the regular entrance fee.
A friend of mine felt so uncomfortable that she didn’t even complete her 30-minute reservation because a staff member kept enforcing rules in an overly strict manner. This made the visit unenjoyable for everyone.
Overall, if you’re planning to visit with kids, be aware that this place might not be as welcoming as you'd hope.

Before walking in I made sure the place was kid friendly. I was told to make my kid be quiet and that there was no yelling. I understand the cats may get scared but then don’t allow kids in. How do you want me to explain my one year old to be quiet, come on man have a kid of your own maybe you’ll understand . Anyways not kid friendly

We had a lot of fun here. We have been to a few cat cafe's and this was by far the best. The cat part was the focus. The individual cats had different color colors to help differentiate who was social or couldn't have treats. Lots of friendly staff to keep an eye on the cats. They all looked well cared for and were getting good socialization. Great cause!

Great establishment for cat lovers - what a great cause! We had a wonderful time my 7 year old son wanted to adopt all of them! We would’ve adopted Cornea Cat but it so difficult to import animals to The Bahamas! Everyone who it looking to adopt their next family addition should visit Brooklyn Cat Cafe the kitties are beautiful so is the staff!

This is so sick. I went to pick up my cat and i saw they have a drag queen coming there. Also they have pride tote bags. What does this sickness have to do with cats. Focus on saving cats not on liberalism

What a great time with the cats! There were many cats roaming casually, some cats were resting in cat beds or on furniture. Several were being playful. The litter boxes were nicely disguised. Food was available in several places. The facility is very clean and the staff were very kind, but firm in their expectations of visitors. The guidelines and policies are clear. I had a great time snuggling with a couple of the kittens. I did not partake in the "cafe" part of the business because I was too busy enjoying and gushing over the cats. I look forward to visiting again!

I would absolutely recommend this place for any cat lover! Especially for the some who can’t have cats at the moment but get to feel all the cat love. Also great place to look to adopt a cat.
