Moved on an incredibly HOT day. Benji, William, and Daryl showed up on time, and made our move a complete breeze. So so appreciative of all their help. Incredibly kind and they did an incredible job. Could not recommend them enough for both the price and the quality of service!! HIRE THEM! Will definitely use again and recommend to my friends.

Efficient and Affordable Moving Service
I recently used this moving company and couldn't be more impressed. I moved from a 3 bedroom apartment one flight of stairs to another apartment near by. I had 5 movers (1 larger truck and 1 van). The team was not only professional and friendly but incredibly fast. They were more affordable than any other company I researched, which was a huge relief.
I took care to pack my belongings well, and they handled everything else with care, from art pieces and TVs to all my furniture, expertly wrapping and securing them. They even managed to disassemble and reassemble my bed frame and table seamlessly, which I had feared would be complicated.
They started right on time, actually arriving a bit early, and the entire move went smoothly from start to finish. I highly recommend their services and would give them a solid 5 stars for their exceptional work.

I’ve moved with these guys three times now and they’re just the best. From the second you reach out, they’re informative (e.g., giving you tips for a smooth move), communicative (e.g., I never waited more than a few hours to hear back from them and were quick with the COI), organized (they even send automated updates to check in on your packing in case you have more or less items to tell them about). Then on the day of the move they almost always show up early if not right on time and they’re quick, efficient, and friendly. E.g., they’ll give the items that need it an extra layer of tape or wrap the few items that might need a little extra protection. I cant recommend them enough!

Not an easy move, a hot day, and some missed coms in the lead up, but the team’s attitude from start to finish was fantastic. They made a difficult job appear easy (I’m sure it wasn’t) - absolutely recommended without hesitation!

I moved to a 3rd floor walk up during a heatwave and Sven’s movers did an incredible job. They were on time, unbelievably fast, and couldn’t have been nicer. I was nervous everything might not make it up the (extremely dicey) stairs but they got it all up there.
One item got left in the truck but when I flagged it to Sven the day after the move he was extremely responsive and flexible with my schedule and organised for the team to drop it off a couple of days later.
Overall a fantastic experience and great value for money. The cost ended up being over $300 less than any other quote I saw. Would use again!

I used this outfit about 14 or so years ago....nice to see they are still in business. (I looked them up since I might need a mover soon) anyway...these guys were great when they moved us . Reasonable price and hard working crew.

Landlords beware - this moving company will damage your property and, despite providing a certificate of insurance, they will deny that they are responsible and refuse to make good on their damage. I was in my home when Sven Moving was moving a tenant out when I heard a huge crash of something falling down the stairs. When I went outside there was a hole in the wall that was not there before. Despite the hallway just being repainted Sven Moving claimed it was there before.
No integrity with this company - avoid.

The most traumatic moving experience I’ve ever had. The movers got angry about me being 5 minutes late even though I reached out in advance. when I asked about covering the mattress, the foreman yelled at me about having an attitude and then stormed out and threatened to leave everything on the curb. They were rough with my furniture, including dumping a printer directly on the ground when trying to remove it from a desk. DO NOT use this moving service. I’ve attached a picture of the mover who yelled at me below.
This is the first time in my life I’ve felt at a disadvantage as a woman - I was treated with such disrespect and belittlement. My experience with Sven has not only been unproductive, but borderline traumatic - please DO NOT use this moving service, especially if you are a woman.

These are the kinds of movers you hope for, especially in NYC. Why?They're extremely responsive and communicative. They especially do a great job of pre-move communication. They help you prepare, give you a very clear estimate, ask you the right questions to assess your timing and costs, and give you some good tips.They move QUICKLY. They come in, look around, and then it's go time. No messing around, they get it done. They got my 1 BR apt move (with 2 peoples' stuff in it) done in 4 hours flat.They're careful. They didn't bang anything around, they took care for the things that needed it.These are the movers you want.

Whatever money you might save by using this budget company you will end up spending on another company to move the rest of your stuff and on replacing things they break. They damaged my tv stand so badly the leg broke off (and it wasn't even bearing any weight)- the stand just toppled over so could have been a lot of damage if the tv was on it. Their insurance is terrible so don't expect to be paid out for any damage. I've also never experienced a moving company that just doesn't take all of your things. Based on other review sites seems fairly typical of them. Even things I specifically listed out because they are heavy/ burdensome (adjustable weight set, toolbox) and things packaged neatly in boxes were left behind. They did the same thing to my boyfriend and all he had was a tv, mattress and personal items. His entire move took one hour from start to finish and they still didn't take all of his things (and charged him the three-hour minimum).
They also took apart some items (mostly lamps) and just handed us the bulbs and globes instead of wrapping them and taking them like movers normally do. They put a plant (which I also listed out) carelessly on top of my things so the dirt spilled everywhere and then they brought the dirt into my apartment. I realize they are a budget moving company but you can do better and at the minimum get movers who actually move your things and aren't so focused on getting the bang for their buck by moving you in under three hours.
