I liked my providers at the center, but the way they filed the medical claims left me with a $500 bill for annual check up blood work. After months of communication with the billing department and insurance provider, billing wouldn't adjust the billing code to the correct one that would have brought my bill to $0... so I had to pay out of pocket for it.

I been coming to Dr Barack and Lapin for years!! the other doctors are amazing, the wait time it’s a Meh but they are friendly, some of the staff are still there some are not. I’ll be coming back to this clinic, been coming to sunrise for 20 + years…

I had a terrible experience here. The doctor was extremely dismissive. I was in for an annual exam, and she ended up incorrectly coding my labs (which were out of network), and I ended up owing over $800 (I have great insurance but the tests weren’t accepted because they weren’t coded as preventative). When trying to call the office to discuss, I always went to voicemail and never received a call back. I will not be going back here.

I went in to get a Doctor’s note and was assigned to see Nurse Practitioner ANNA RAFALOVYCH and it was quite literally the most traumatizing uncomfortable experience I’ve ever had. She literally badgered me over a simple Doctors note as if it was an inconvenience to her, screaming over how she wouldn’t get paid for it and how it was a waste of her time. I never even got a chance to explain what I really needed. As a nurse myself, it is so heart breaking to see that there can be such evil people working in healthcare. I left in tears over how I was treated, I plan to change my PCP and leave the clinic all together cause that was THE most dehumanizing experience I’ve ever had in a clinic. All other ancillary staff were great but that NP doesn’t deserve to work with patients or in healthcare for that matter.

Rude, unprofessional receptionist who doesn’t answer the phone. Never sent refills to pharmacy and my grandmother was out of medication for days. I left several messages in addition to the pharmacist. Horrible service they don't care about their patients well being at all.

The front desk staff are extremely rude and have an attitude. They should certainly improve their customer service skills

As a new patient with this practice I had a wonderful experience. The nurse at the front desk Latoya Gilliad could not have been kinder. The MA Eugris took a lot of time to do my intake, was very knowledgeable and attentive and went out of his way to take care of me. I saw Kevin Lapin NP who also took a lot of time to go through my history, answer my questions and gave me a detailed follow up plan. The final person Jacouya was also amazing. Kind, friendly and patient. I am deeply grateful to this team of healthcare professionals who took care of me.

DONT GO TO THIS CLINIC! I had an appointment with the neurologist, they didn’t call or send me a email to make sure everything was alright, got me a Uber and when I was 20 min away to get there they call and canceled the appointment saying that the doctor was going to leave. This doctor is not professional

Drove 4 hours round trip and had to leave without attending my appointment, because they did not do their paperwork ahead of time.-This has been my PCP for around 3 years now. We found the whole experience to be like a cattle call in general, but didn’t have any other options.Recently moved, have a last minute medical problem that requires attention. My appointment was first thing in the morning, so I took off work and drove 2 hours one way to get to this office. They call me *15 minutes!!!* before my appointment to inform me that they no longer accept my insurance. This was “a recent change”. 8 total trains for there and back, 2 hours one way, submitted all my information ahead of time, and this happens? You have to be kidding. It goes without saying that I am deeply frustrated. Their disorganization cost me an entire day - I could have either worked or had today off, and instead I got totally screwed over by their incompetence.

1. Dr. Katsman -- I liked her at first but could no longer see her after 2 things happened. First thing is a I had to really make a case to her for Ozempic even though I was technically Obese. When she did prescribe it I didn't really know what to expect and didn't feel like I had her support. I asked her for samples and she never got back to me about them, so I just stopped it because I didn't really know what I was doing. It's such a serious and expensive medication that I paid cash for and all she said was let me know when you run out so I can increase the dose. Secondly, I asked her for a referral to an endocrinologist because I was sweating buckets with very little exertion. She just said that that was how I'd always been and denied me the referral. Like, what?!It would be another year before I was able to see an endocrinologist and get another Ozempic script, this time with explanation. Also, the second time around, I was informed that you can order from a Canadian pharmacy. The first pen I purchased with Dr. Katsman's script I paid $1000. When I got the script from the endo and bought from a Canadian pharmacy, I paid $370 with shipping.2. Dr. Pyone Maung - This doctor's behavior at the only appointment I had with her still affects me to this day. I went to her because she was the only one working on a Saturday and I could not take another day off from work. It was such a miserable time for me due to my issues and I really needed some help, like we all do. She walked into the room telling me I had depression ( I didn't) and when I would describe my symptoms to her she dismissed them one by one. She would not let go of the depression thing no matter what I said. It was the first time I had experienced such gaslighting in my life. I was messed up mentally from this appointment for weeks after. I was in shock and disbelief. After that experience I switched to another organization entirely because I needed to get away from Sunrise.
