From start to finish, it was really an amazing and comfortable experience. I kind of hate suits as a short plus size man, but Olivia really did me justice. A total of 3 sessions. 1st was the longest and I was very anxious since I didn’t know what I wanted for my friends engagement/wedding event. As my first suit in a long time, I think I ended up wanting something that I could wear again to numerous formal occasions and go as “safe (navy blue). Olivia spent a good 1st hour helping me find the perfect shade and picking out the design of the coat, pants, buttons, etc. She gave me amazing options, explanations for each one and why it would work for me, listened to me, and guided me with her expertise. She’s so knowledgeable with the frabics and knew what would work well for my body type. The 2nd hour she began measuring the different customizations for my suit. Again I didn’t know what to expect, or how it would go but throughout this first session she was just amazing. Energy, vibe perf. I just felt in safe hands. The custom suit came maybe 2-2.5 weeks after the 1st session. 2nd session she made some more minor adjustments for their in house tailor to handle, which took maybe less than 30 min. Again quick and easy. And the in house tailor made the adjustments the same day actually! So quick! It was amazing to see how her measurements in the first session came through so well in the second session when the suit was delivered. And, 3rd session was to do a final check and it took maybe less than 15 min. It came out perfect. Loved it so much. Will be coming back in spring for another because of her and to be more bold with my second choice. The entire process took 3 weeks, and I had maybe 5 weeks to get it done so I loved how quick it was. I will honestly recommend anyone I know especially plus size folk to go to her. She has a new forever client for however long she plans to stay there at SuitSupply Williamsburg. I hope y’all give her a raise. Again, cannot thank Olivia enough for how comfortable she made me with the experience and with my suit choice at the end of the day! I feel so confident in my choice, definitely would recommend Olivia if you plan to go custom! She knows her shit!

Update December 2025: I also had the pleasure of working on a custom dress shirt with Olivia, she knows her stuff and made the process really fun! I’m extremely excited for my first bespoke item from suit supply. Keep it up Williamsburg team! :)

Khalid is the MAN. I came in needing a suit ready in 24 hours. He helped me out along with three suit school cadets, everyone was ridiculously helpful and knowledgeable. Now I can go to this wedding without my girlfriend’s dad judging me for wearing my baggy department store suit from high school. 10/10 service, couldn’t recommend the store or working with Khalid any more highly.

Showed up without an appointment and was told I was free to browse. Found a suit jacket I was curious about and tried it on. As I was looking in the mirror, an employee gave me a lecture about how in order to maintain the esthetic integrity of the store (or some such nauseating corporate script), they strongly recommend I check in at the front desk and wait for a sales associate. I told him I just did that and the man at the front desk told me I was free to browse. The associate countered that I can browse, I just can’t try anything on without an associate present.
So there I am with a jacket on with the intention of buying it or something similar, basically being told to take it off. No “I’ll help you get set up,” no “I’ll put this aside for you in the meantime.” Nothing. Just a smug smile-glare until I complied. Not a great feeling, especially when you’re shopping for a funeral suit.
Clearly a company like this could care less if I take my business elsewhere as it is just a faceless corporation, but I just wonder if embarrassing potential customers by condescending to them and turning them away instead of taking the opportunity to actually assist them regardless of store policy would be a better approach for everyone involved.
Perhaps some customers love a sales associate who behaves like they think they run an artisan tailor shop to the stars in Milan and we’re all just lucky to be there, but it didn’t do much for me. I think you’ll find several other reviews sharing a similar experience at this location. Too bad. Maybe try one of the Manhattan locations instead.

Being a long time customer at the soho location. I went here because I was right there.
The staff here as others have mentioned are a bit unrefined and lack some training. Came across the same issue, don’t touch the clothes, extend wait times, was not offered water, the associate didn’t know the answer to any of the questions I had and what’s most disappointing was their collection is very limited and they don’t seem to care?
It was almost like they want you to make the purchase online. The associate only heard half of what I had to say. But I must say they were helpful with making a return to the store which I appreciate.
But 100% will be only going back to Soho
