My mother passed away and I have spent 3 days trying to contact someone as to what to do to get my mother’s funds.
My mother also had a safe deposit box with them which was shared with me. They literally could only schedule someone to go to the safe deposit box . Calling every day, few times a day , living messages and NO reply. Desperate I called central office 2 times and no help so far...

They are open till 6 pm. I went to the bank to open an account at 4.45pm and they don’t have any banker and short of staff says the manager. So Q of the is day. Why is the bank running with sort staff and why manager can’t open account. Webster bank is low on costomer service as always.

Lousy unprofessional bank. They allow fake 501c3 accounts that engage in money laundering. Someone comes in here and opens an account using the name of a 501c3 that is not theirs. Then they cash checks through this bank so that people can get tax exemptions and cheat on taxes.

This is not a good bank that ATM machines don't spit out the proper money and then you have to go through a whole dispute just to try to get your money back terrible service trying to reach them they don't pick up their phone definitely would never bank here

Stay away from this bank with a 1,000,000 foot pole! The only reason someone would stilll bank here is because they're to lazy to relocate.

Great bank except for one thing. The bank has changed it's name twice in the past 2 years. It was Astoria bank first, then Sterling National Bank. Soon it will become Webster Bank. Its very inconvenient because I have to update my direct deposit information everywhere and order new checks

extremely long waiting time!!!!!
Only two windows open!
Cashiers also serve customers with manager’s job(new accounts etc) and it takes forever.
Not enough cashiers
It’s never been us bad!!!!!!

Horrid customer service no one willing to help called just to have access to MY OWN ACCOUNT and everyone is giving the run around and my issues has not been resolved. Planning to take my business elsewhere.

This branch will not accept a valid, certified death certificate for my mother and is preventing me from closing her account. I have tried to resolve this for months and they will not even return my phone calls.If you are able to withdraw your money, do it now before they steal it from you too.

This is a dinosaur from the 1970s they don’t know how to provide service.
