My LG fridge stopped cooling/freezing. I called LG customer service and they sent SMV Repair to fix this issue. Turns out the compressor was busted. They arrived within the time frame they promised to come. Very knowledgeable, friendly, and he was was able to fix it in a super efficient time. 10/10 service. Highly highly recommend! Thanks once again :)

Very happy with these folks which is very rare for me having a good experience with an appliance repair company! A few months ago,I called them up and told them what was wrong with my refrigerator and without trying to get me to even make an appointment, they gave me a rough idea of what was probably wrong with my unit because they see many problems with this specific LG model refrigerator and gave me a rough idea of what it would cost over the phone. I absolutely love that because I didn't feel like I was going to be taken for a service charge and then if I decline the repair I'd be out the 95$ and end up having to throw out the refrigerator. They sent a very nice gentleman named Mikhail, who took care of the problem for me and I was charged exactly what they told me I would be charged. He was incredibly efficient and I happen to like to speak tech talk so he was kind enough to explain to me exactly what was going on and two and a half hours later, I had a working refrigerator again and so far so good. Thank you Marina and Mikhail.

I've used SMV Repair twice now to work on my LG fridge - first time being Feb 2021. Very positive interactions both times. Most recent time, I put in a service request on their site Sunday night, they called me 10am Monday morning and were able to send over a technician the next day (Tuesday morning).Technicians each time were very friendly, knowledgeable, and were able to diagnose the problems quickly - unfortunately both times were a dead compressor but fortunately the part was under warranty so I only had to pay labor. Second compressor died after only a year and a half and while SMV could easily just have charged me to fix it they instead were upfront about the repair costs and made sure I wanted to fix it a second time vs just buying a new fridge.I don't know what the average price is for repairs but considering they fixed my fridge in an hour both times I feel their rates are fair.Service: Refrigerator/freezer repair

Had my lg compressor fixed by smv repairs. Cant ask for a better experience. They knew exactly what they were doing and was able to get someone in to fix my fridge the very next day. Highly recommended to anyone who had a fridge problem!

If LG assigns a different company to fix your fridge/freezer, DEMAND that they assign SMV Repair instead! Customer service is great! (They actually called me back!) They are very knowledgeable and try to get as much information as possible to prepare for the repair appointment. The repair tech, Mikhail, was also great! He was on time and is very good at his job. He knew exactly what he was doing and fixed our issue (LG freezer stopped working/cooling) in under 20 minutes. After a horrible month of back & forth with other LG repair services (2 other companies & repair technicians), I am SO glad we finally worked with SMV Repair. I highly recommend them and will be working with them if any other appliance issues come up.Services: Refrigerator/freezer repair

My LG French door refrigerator stopped cooling at less than 3 years old. Called SMV Repair ,,being they were an LG authorized. After giving some specific info (model #, serial # , and brief description of problem etc.) , they checked to see if probably needed parts were in stock. Once stock was confirmed,a tech was scheduled for next morning. Tech arrived on time with parts. Tech performed some testing to confirm problem and changed out parts., and cleaned out all dust from inside back panel to ensure the best performance. To add icing on the cake , they fixed everything and covered it under LG warranty., including labor. I usually don’t write reviews but good companies and good Service Techs deserve some acknowledgment.Service: Refrigerator repair

I have LG Styler, steam closet. It was working fine for over a year and then got broken. I contacted to LG company. Another year and a half I spent talking to different departments, trying to contact authorized LG repair services that LG provided me with and assured that they would fix my problem. Repair services told me they don't know this product and don't have any technician who know how to deal with it. I went through the seven layers of hell dealing with LG on this matter. Few months ago LG gave me SMV Repair company's phone number and I was shocked when the manager, Marina, told me that the technician, Michael, would come and take a look at Styler. Michael came and was able to fix it.I would highly recommend SMV Repair Company. Marina was very helpful and was always returning my calls and answering my questions. Michael is highly professional and knowledgeable technician. I'm very grateful for their help and professionalism.

I had issues with my LG fridge and freezer not being cold enough/at all. When I called LG, they weren't very helpful, but referred me to SMV Repair.When I reached out to SMV, they not only reached out to LG on my behalf to get me an extended warranty (my unit was only used for 3 years) to cover all costs, but they were able to schedule a repair the very next day.The technician was very knowledgeable, courteous, professional and arrived within the timeframe they promised to come.I would recommend SMV to everyone experiencing issues with their appliances. Five stars all around!!PS-the company never pressured me to write this review. Terrible customer service... Used as a 3rd party contractor for Sear Protection Agreements they came changed a small part and left. They were supposed to call me the next day to see if the washer was working (it was not and they knew it wouldn't be) I had to call them and was told the tech requested more parts be ordered. Parts were ordered (which caused more delay) and sent to me. Tech returned, replaced agitator, left. Still not working, called again to find out he wanted a transmission and "some other parts) ordered, again had to wait to be delivered. Parts being delivered today and they refuse to make an appt for tomorrow when earlier in the week I was told they have more than one tech and getting someone there would not be a problem. I am a senior citizen with health issues who cannot get to a laundromat and have been without a washer going on to almost a month now. The PA calls for Sears to replace the washer if it cannot be repaired and they refuse to make that determination. Instead they keep sending a tech who is taking guesses at what is wrong and ordering part after part extending this nightmare. I was told by Sears after the initial visit he should have ordered all the parts that might be necessary and it should have been repaired in the 2nd visit. I have already opened a complaint with the BBB for Sears... Now leaning towards "7 on your side" with Nina Pineda to pay a visit to SMV (which by the way when I asked the name of the visit Marina told me it was SMW... a total scam operation.)

i call today(june 23rd 2021) and a nasty lady answered the phone, i had a service, they never called me at all to confirm and to know what seems to be the issue, then she try to tell me that they need to replace the board of the machine, even do they do not even know what seems to be the issue and she was upset that i even asked her this, she also stated they will come multiple times to my home and she didn't care that i am a person of risk and i know what is the issue with the machine, a simple issue that happened in the past, the drain pump is defective and needs to be replaced, but again the lady who stated was the manager marina, continue being angry and hang up on me......disgusting trying to make money out of disabled customers. then 30 minutes later she calls me over the phone and asked me if i want the service anyway....i don't deal with scammers, so the answer is no

Called LG for service and they set me up with a different company G&G worst ever even just to talk to, waited 3 weeks then called LG and put in a complaint. They then set me up with SMV Appliance they were amazing. They came the very next day with parts and replaced the compressor, all within an hour and a half. They get a 10 star from me. Very organized technician will definitely recommend!

Called them Monday night about a broken refrigerator - the woman handling the phone was incredibly knowledgeable and was able to give me quotes based on what the 3-4 most likely scenarios would be. A technician was at my apartment Wednesday 11am. My technician was incredibly informative, clearly laying out the possible issues before he got to work and confirmed the issue. He found the bad compressor - a known LG issue for a certain range of models 5+ years old - and was able to do an in warranty repair. LG repair authorized so they had the compressor on hand, fix was done same day as initial visit. Complete process took 2.5 hours. Professional, respectful, wore a mask! Fully recommend this place especially if you have an LG product.
