Tina means & Mellisa Williams racially profiled me when I came in the bank telling me people with that skin tone don’t usually have this amount of large money and that I should go to a next branch. I have been traumatized with this situation and won’t ever step foot on this branch!!!! 893 Flatbush Ave Brooklyn, NY 11226

When I arrived at the branch Ms. Malisa Williams greeted me pleasantly and proceeded to help me right away. She answered all my questions and was able to get the required transaction without delay. Most importantly, she has a great can-do attitude and treated me with respect. Ms. Williams worked with Ms. Tanya Davis, the branch manager, who was also very pleasant and effective.

I went to this Branch to find out about loans. The representative, Mrs. Williams was polite and full of promises that she never kept. When I met with her she was so eager to help, but she never called as she promised, when I called she wasn't in the bank, her day off, then I called her again and told me that she will call me because she needed to open her email and look for the approval. Waited more than one hour she didn't call. I called her again and this time she told me that she didn't process the loan yet than I have to go back to the branch, she told me before that I do not need to go to the bank again. She felt relieve when I asked her if I can cancel the process, almost thanked me for asking that and she immediately said "yes" that she will stop the process, process that she never started. nN effort is made to service customers in a timely manner. One of the worst banks I’ve ever been to and a representative that is all smiles and nice, but didn't care about the client, the bank or anything else.

Santander is literally the most inconvenient bank I've ever used. Most of the representatives are terrible. Their policies are awful. If you're reading this, please avoid this bank. You're better off at Wells Fargo or Chase.

I just called my local branch for assistance with my debit card after trying the customer service line, only to be hung up on after waiting on hold over an hour to try to speak to a representative. I'm trying to confirm that there is not a hold on my card, as I need the information on order to move forward with an online purchase. The merchant has told me it's an issue on my bank's side. The representative I spoke to at the branch brushed me off and redirected me to the help line, and offered no assistance in getting through to a representative that way. Just more waiting on hold. The alternative, she said, was to come into the branch so someone can help me in person - she refused to help on the phone. I'm not sure what difference that makes, except to further inconvenience me and make me go out while we're all supposed to be staying in. Again, this is my local branch, so I would have hoped they might be more willing to help. I live a mile away, I'm not a random person calling the first Santander number they found on google.

Absolutely no effort is made to service customers in a timely manner. One of the worst banks I’ve ever been to.
Manager or owner, if you are reading this, changes should be made.

I have been here maybe 3 times. This last visit l was a little confused, I walked in and saw 3 young people standing on line eating full fledged meals, oxtail, rice and beans, plantins. I asked if they were in line they said no. I was greeted by a teller who cashed a check for me. When she asked how l would like my cash back l replied in kind, large bills please. I then received a smile and a lecture on how l should know better than to come to a bank on a Friday afternoon at 4:30 during the Holiday season asking for large bills. I really haven't been ticked off for a while so l have her a smile and politely asked to see the written policy on the unprofessional lecture l just received. I also let her know l did not have any time for this Tom foolery and maybe we can discuss policy if she was still working there. Before l knew what was happening the teller l usually see when l go there asked me to step over to her window. How dare that scenario even occur?. SMH

This branch has some friendly personnel, but it operates at a very casual pace. If you have any kind of schedule to meet you should be aware that friendly + casual pace means that if anyone is in front of you when you need to meet with an actual banker, you may be waiting for a very LONG time. You'll get complicated work done faster if you take the subway back & forth to herald square rather than visit this one. They will literally spend an hour per client at this Flatbush location to set up a simple account.
