Over priced EVERYTHING. Especially for a used/ thrift store. The quality of the items are not worth it.

I haven’t been to a Salvation Army store in a while, so perhaps I am out of touch, but when I visited last week prices were extremely high.
There was a used couch with an “as is” sticker on it for $599.00
There were used mirrors, matching, for $199.00 EACH (these were perhaps 18”x24”, not huge floor pieces)
These prices were representative as well of the lower level, which had furniture and goods piled haphazardly. Furniture ranged from $199-$599.
I’m aware the country has been facing inflation, but the SA is an organization that relies almost exclusively on donations, and the SA stores only sell donated items. So the prices seemed like a slap in the face.
What happened to being a resource for the needy- or people who find themselves in difficult financial circumstances? The pricing here was more indicative of a hipster vintage store in Williamsburg, but without any of the quality.
The staff however was very nice.

This used to be my favorite thrift store to go to but recently it has drastically changed. For one, their prices are through the roof and it wasn't always this way. I have found items that are priced higher than they are in the actual retail store where they came from. Secondly, you have to be very careful not to get fooled by the fakes. They carry a lot of fake knock off brands and they are priced as if they are real. The third reason I am giving them just two stars is that they are now accepting vouchers from migrants for free goods and while I am all for helping people in need this has gotten out of control. They line up early in the morning and they grab all of the merchandise which they don't pay for leaving the paying customers with all of the junk. The last few times I went I left without buying a single item and that has never happened before. Also, the migrants make a mess of the stores throwing things all over the floor and children running around like a playground. Shopping here is no longer a pleasant experience and I will be looking for other locations to go to.

This is a good thrift store. Two levels- walk up to 2nd floor - not sure if they have an elevator - They had a good assortment of clothes. I wish the items were better organized by size. But I did like that all items were grouped-. Pants, tops, dresses, blazers, coats, etc.. I did find that they were pricey. Much more expensive than what I'm used to. They did have 50% off specific color tickets and some item tickets were $1 -. Overall I give it a good rating.
